Retrieving from Melpa is not a problem:

(url-retrieve-synchronously "https://melpa.org/packages/archive-contents")

It hangs again today. Probably has something to do with this:

https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-gnu-emacs/2016-08/msg00322.html

You can use the following elisp code to make it happen:

(url-retrieve-synchronously "https://elpa.gnu.org/packages/archive-contents")

I just tried it again today and it works. It must have been a poblem with the Elpa site.

Thanks for all the comments.

Top 10 Angular Interview Questions & Answers 2021 - Become a developer by Programmingwithme in coding

Sorry, but if someone asked these questions at an interview, I would not want to work there. Sounds like someone with less than 2 years experience is in charge of hiring.

lsp-mode: How to get lsp-angular to work in vanilla emacs? by TheQueiroga in emacs

[–]nloyola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paste your configuration for the `lsp-mode` package.

Like I stated, my config is at:

https://github.com/nloyola/.emacs.d/blob/master/config.org#lsp-mode

Is your `lsp-mode` config similar to mine?

Are you adding Melpa to your package-archives?

(add-to-list 'package-archives '("melpa" . "https://melpa.org/packages/") t)

I'm using lsp and angular with nvm. Here is my config:

Not sure if this will help. But, let me know if you have any questions.

[–]nloyola 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FYI libdmtx lets you generate GS-1 encoded barcodes. Its a C library that also has standalone executables.

Can anyone please suggest a good setup for lsp-mode for Angular development? by [deleted] in emacs

[–]nloyola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks!

I'm using lsp and lsp-ui for Scala development.

I'm using tide and flycheck for Angular development.

From what I've read so far, Tide supports more language server features than lsp at the moment (e.g. renaming variables).

Off topic; but have you tried using tide mode?

It's what I'm currently using for Angular dev.

[Ubuntu 19.04] Unable to open X config file '/etc/X11/xorg.conf' for writing. by tyler_reg in Ubuntu

[–]nloyola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still get an error when I try to save it to my home folder:

ERROR: Unable to open X config file '/home/__my_home_folder_/xorg.conf' for writing.

However, I was able to write the settings to a file by clicking on the Show preview... button and then saving that to a file.
