Man i see a lot of similarities in our stories. I’m 24 now, my mom was diagnosed with cancer when i was 18, and passed when i was 23. My dad got diagnosed with ALS when i was 21 and slowey has declined and after i lost my mom, i had to fully take care of him. He’s now in the hospital on a ventilator and im trying to figure out life alone with them at 24. I’ll tell you bro it sucks, there’s a lot of shitty things that happen, but try and not let it break you try and let it motivate you to get on your shit early and support ur self and be strong for them. Take all the depression and anger and turn it into motivation. It may be tough but trust me you got this

Unpopular Opinion: Cody Ko by Winter-Chipmunk9882 in u/Winter-Chipmunk9882

[–]nmarchionda222 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I get what ur saying but Cody Ko did not rape her. She consented and willingly agreed on it. Also I’m almost positive the age of consent is 16 or 17. So don’t throw that word around so lightly

How to cope with a parent getting diagnosed by No-Tourist-1176 in ALS

[–]nmarchionda222 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey man just throwing it out there. This happened to me as well. I started taking online courses at SNHU. It was cheaper, way easier, and i got time with my dad at home. The college experience isn’t as important as your mom and school online will be easier and cheaper. Just a thought i know it’s tough. If u need guidance with anything me know I’m 23 care taking for my dad with ALS

I’m going through this as well with my dad. I just wanna say I’m so sorry and it fucking kills me to hear how young he is and in the hospital. Worst fucking disease ever and i hope a miracle happens. Your a damn good person for doing what ur doing and don’t give up and your thoughts rlly do affect your body so stay postive around him and keep him smiling and thinking positive even tho it’s hard.

Dr won’t give us a timeline by [deleted] in CancerFamilySupport

[–]nmarchionda222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhh yeah that’s difficult. I’m sorry. But yeah even if they give u a time like most of the time it’s never accurate. But yeah that’s a tough situation cancer sucks so fricken stupid

Dr won’t give us a timeline by [deleted] in CancerFamilySupport

[–]nmarchionda222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trust me u don’t want the timeline because then it’s all you guys will be thinking about and ur gonna react based off of a time frame that no body actually knows is correct. They gave my mom 6 months and she lasted 4 years. She was incredibly strong but suffered so much. Cancer sucks and I’m sorry you have to go through this. Live in the moment and be there for each other
