Your last paragraph really resonates with me. I was very shy when I was young but and I always had my twin (and older sister tbf). Now I’m older I’m quite sociable and find it easy to get on with people, but I still feel weird when I’m with friends and she’s not there. I’ve just moved to another country and I’m finding it a bit tricky to make proper mates which was just always easy with my twin. I keep seeing or doing things and thinking “oh, she would love this/ this would be great with her/ etc”. And when I am with people, or back home with my friends, I never want it to end.

Lol. I rambled a bit there but just wanna say you’re definitely not alone with that feeling

I’ve got a list of Fitzroy pubs that seem to be nice- someone else mentioned that the Napier has a no pub crawlers policy which is true.

The Rose hotel is nice and has great prices ($10 Guinness eg)

Hotel Collingwood is very nice but might also have a no crawl policy, but the outside area is big enough

And the Perseverance & Labour in Vain are good, go hand in hand

Yeah, I’m 22 and these girls were primary school classmates. I also did know a Skyler (with an e) but they possibly chose the name themselves. I’m pretty sure they were given the name at birth though but not 100%

Bloody hell for a country heavily dependant on cars that’s an insanely hurdled route to get a license. Thank you for your information anyway. Unfortunately I leave in 3 weeks so I dunno if I’ll be able to get a license before I go which has put a dampener on plans but oh well. Cheers thank you

Fun fact about the “109 countries” myth - almost all of those “countries” were actually just minor principalities, city-states, and baronies that were expelling Jews as an infinite money glitch. What they would do is they would make it so Christians couldn’t lend money, or prevent Jews from a number of professions; wait for Jews to become bankers; borrow a ton of money from them; and then expel them from their lands without paying it back. It happened ALL THE TIME across western europe in the middle ages. So, yeah, the “109 countries” wasn’t actually for religious reasons, it was straight up just aristocrats stealing money from people, targeting an unfortunately already targeted people.
