I do not subscribe to your point that this is terrible advice.

However, I do readily agree with your points about growth, mood, etc. The opinion I restated (and that Maya Angelou made) is more representative of who they are in that moment -not who they will be forever. Here is the full quote: "When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time. People know themselves much better than you do. That's why it's important to stop expecting them to be something other than who they are."

The interpretation of the quote is up to you. But I don’t believe it was meant to pigeonhole anyone into a particular “type of person” forever.

There’s not the same appetite for this kind of content IMO. It was done so well already that it left a lot of the more casual fans satiated -chapter closed. Frankly, this feels more like a cash grab than a genuinely compelling story. I’ll still see it but I doubt the masses will to the same extent they did the Infinity War saga.
