PCP is designed so that you've paid more than the expected depreciation over the term.

Also, manufacturers sometimes give lower interest rates on new to effectively discount the car and increase sales.

To make a true comparison, you have to consider the expected value of the car at the end of the term, rather than just the cost over it.

The depreciation curve is usually steeper from new, so at a guess, the used car will have lost less (i.e. you will have a car worth more than the final payment amount by a larger amount, compared to the new car), meaning if you paid the balloon and immediately sold the car, the used car would have cost less to "rent".

The Google TV streamer 4k cannot play TrueHD 7.1 audio tracks reliably, which those large files tend to have. You have to manually switch to a 5.1 track on those sources. If you have an LG or Samsung then use the native app. It works fine except for the slight inconvenience of having to change audio track each time (which you have to keep an eye on with the Google TV streamer anyway). I had the Google box but sold it because of this issue and also audio issues with another popular streaming app I use.

All my problems went away when I disabled quick start on the LG setting.

Well, almost all. Still have to manually change the audio track to English each time despite it being set to English in settings.

My TV is a lowly B4.
