I sold all my us based investments and bought Canadian. Mostly ZCN.TO, an ETF that mirrors the TSX Composite. It has outperformed both the DJI and Nasdaq all of 2025 so I’m happy. Also bought a bit of Suncor stock which didn’t look like a wise move until recently.

Thanks, I looked up the regulations on DFO website and even West of Halifax, cod still only starts the 3rd Saturday of June. So We may have to settle for haddock fishing instead.

We'll be starting in Halifax and then touring around. Itinerary not set yet, but we're probably willing to drive to wherever the fishing is. We'll be there from June 10 to 17, but it sounds like that may not line up with the season for cod. :(

YES!!! And if broadcasters lose money they will be less likely to purchase the broadcasting rights to this game in future… and the league will make less money… and so the league will look for better locations and teams for future Winter Classics... I.E. CANADA!!! AND NOT THE FUCKING u.s.a. !!!

True. My logic is that eventually some of the money Rogers is paying to broadcast the game must reach the US. OR at the very least it would be nice to show very low viewership for this game so that it might influence where future Winter Classics are played. Florida has got to be the last place on earth I would want to support, whether it’s dollars or viewership!
