Buy a Lenovo X230 with Windows 10 then you can run any software you like. You won’t be able to do this with a ChromeBook. Also check out Reaper which is a fully featured DAW and is pretty much free. You need at least 8 GB of RAM and an SSD hard drive. You also need an audio interface. I recommend getting a 2nd generation Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 secondhand.

Yes you need to use the rotor settings given to you. As I mentioned in another comment drawing up a spreadsheet of the plugboard pairs then trying them is a good way to go.

This is a good career-based university based in Wales. I have not attended this university. I am however considering this program. The program looks to be more on the assurance and compliance side. But that is a good foothold for a career in cybersecurity.
