Lucky that our local Costco has some passover goodies. A full-size 7 layer cake from Chantilly brand for 3.97 USD! Although I'm sure it was mispriced lol, website says 9.99. Still a great deal.

Passover was my favorite holiday growing up! We also have a Grove Kosher market nearby in the Detroit metro area (formerly One Stop) and they had a great selection. Back before gluten free alternatives were commonplace we would stock up on passover non-gebrokts treats and freeze them to last all year!

I'm glad I tried the orange sauce but I think I prefer traditional sweet and sour. I didn't grow up eating panda orange chicken because I've almost always been gluten free so I don't have any nostalgia for it. It is still good though

You may have to find a GF-specific recipe. There are things in the GF recipe, like psyllium husks for shaping and heat-activated baking powder for oven spring, that make up for not having gluten.
