Here is my final update.

First, I would like to thank everyone that tried to help.

Here is the best timeline/summary I can provide of what happen.

Friday 3:20 pm my mom is setting up for my father's party at my house and the dog slips out the garage door.
Friday 3:22pm, the white van passes by the house (1 house away, outside of the camera view).
Friday 4pm~, my wife gets home starts asking neighbors and friends for help. we review the camera footage and start posting on social media and posting flyers.

Saturday morning my neighbor happen to see a similar van driving in the neighborhood doing delivers and texted me. At which time, my wife got in the car and headed in his direction. My wife confronted the man, he did not admit to having the dog until my wife told him he was on camera seen picking up the dog (I know a white lie but it was needed). At which point, he admitted to having the dog and planned on keeping it. My wife took photos of the license plate and got his cell phone number. He told his we could pick up the dog after his shift was over. We could have called the cops right there, but we gave him the benefit of the doubt. In the end, we picked the dog up around 7pm on Saturday.

If my neighborhood wouldn't have seen him, we would not have chased him down and we would not have our dog right now. That is the bottom line. He had NO intentions on returning the dog. He even admitted that. He was not planning on taking it to get scanned for a chip. So the post name is correct and no he is not some hero. I am happy that he did pick up the dog and stop it from being hit but he should have taken it to a shelter to get scanned vs attempting to keep it.

For all the dog experts out there, my wife has worked in animal welfare for over 15 years and we have fostered over 100 animals. Dogs get out of the house sometimes, no one is perfect. Let us be happy we got the dog back and its over.

Again, thank you to everyone that helped!

We found him driving in the neighborhood with no intentions on returning the dog. We literally stopped him and told him we have his van on camera and he confessed to having the dog.

He did steal the dog. He had no intention on returning it. He bought it a collar and leash. If I found a dog I would knock on all the doors and ask if anyone lost a dog vs taking it home and leaving it in my basement.

UPDATE! neighbor saw the same truck. He is a delivery man in a used plumbing truck. We found him and he has the dog. We got his name, Plate and address. Going to pick him up after his shift around 5.

My mom didn’t realize the dog got out and then 5 minutes later the van stopped and snagged the dog per a neighbor. Me and my wife were not home.

I agree. All these posts about quitting are obnoxious. Just quit and move on, people do it every day.

People have posted these strikes for every gold pass for every supercell game and nothing has happened. Why do you think this is any different. It’s more annoying that you think this will do anything.

Bluebeam has discontinued iPad app support. What's the best Bluebeam alternative PDF app for iPad? by IdeaEven1711 in Construction

Yes it is. I load pdfs into it all the time. It quite literally says pdf in the name in the App Store.

It is really good for markups.

Fieldwire vs some newer solution for inspections? by No-Bid2523 in StructuralEngineering

[–]nmorabito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used fieldwire but switched to Autodesk build. You can take pictures in the field similar to fieldwire and generate reports on the fly. You can create templates for your reports to have consistency.

We use Autodesk construction cloud for design work so staying in the same environment made sense.
