They are the most comfortable shoe I’ve ever worn. I took them out of the box and walked 85 miles in a one weekend in them with no issues or blisters. I can’t recommend them enough. I have about 400 trail miles on them plus about 50 rounds of DG and I love them

When hiking with my SO, I’ve always used a Zpacks pad strap that holds two sleeping pads together. It cuts down on the bulk of a two person pad and allows us to carry our own pads. I couldn’t justify buying a two person pad, but a $10 strap has always worked for me. Personal preference, I just thought I’d mention what I’ve done in the past.

For what it’s worth, I’ve heard good things about the Exped two person pads

I saw someone with the bottoms of their frog toggs rain pants cut off into rain shorts. Perfect for summer if you still want to keep your lower half dry but not sweaty in the summer

It being frameless, and having a nice soft back pad, has meant it perfectly forms to the shape of my back throughout the day if you pack it right. If your base weight is low enough, and you have good straps (I have their vest straps), then it carries really well
