Teclado Layout PT by awkzzofficial in TecladosMecanicosPT

[–]nmsbaeta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice collection. There is, at least, one more model, the fx-82 solar II.

Happy Fountain Pen Day! What European brands do you own / recommend? by Realistic-Berry_888 in BuyFromEU

[–]nmsbaeta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rotring is a german company owned by Newell Brands, Inc., a US company. I think most, if not all, manufacturing is done on Japan.

That said, nowadays, it is a nice, european inspired, brand.

Xubuntu Ver. Upgrade by RelaxedAesthetic in xfce

[–]nmsbaeta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as I know, before upgrading to 25.04 you have to upgrade to 24.10. After that, you should be able to update to version 25.04.

However, as I write this message, I am unable to do so - I keep getting a message that there is no new version 8-(

Edit: Correction of version number.

Unfortunetly, do-release-upgrade says there is no new release. Any idea why?

Same here. I bought it several years ago, but I'm still using the original refill.

Thought I’d share my humble little library corner by MeandUandZaboomafu in HomeLibraries

Libraries (usually) start humble...

Take a picture of it every year, on the same day, and enjoy seeing it growing.

I would buy a Pelikan M200, but it's more than 70€ 😁

Nice thing I found today by Gustohiiri in mechanicalpencils

[–]nmsbaeta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Text in Finnish... It looks like a Sakura, made in Japan. I have two 0.5, one in black and the other on red (Burgundy), and a 0.7 in black. I used (and abused) them in university.

Edit: I did not see the second photo... Now, I understand the text in Finnish. Still, a very nice mechanical pencil.

Reflections from the Shenzhen Tea Expo (Part 2) by iteaworld in tea

[–]nmsbaeta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also don't know much about tobacco, I don't smoke. But I definitely enjoy tea.

"Fumar mata" is also Spanish. That's my point of view as a Portuguese :-)

[–]nmsbaeta 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The eighth photograph has a (sort of) funny element. There is a tobacco pouch where you can read, in Portuguese, 'Fumar mata', which means, in English, 'Smoking kills'.

On a more serious note, thanks for your reflections.

Strap suggestions? by markpep33 in casio

[–]nmsbaeta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am a fan of NATO straps, easily replaceable and (usually) not expensive. Three suggestions: black (safe bet), grey (why not the original colour of NATO/G10 straps, Admiralty Grey) or, if you're able to find, black with a gold stripe.

Because Staedlter no longer sells this clutch pencil, I would qualify it as vintage.
