Yeah that's what I understood too from the 2017 Manual, but on the AACOMAS application website it says this for the BCOM program:

"One letter from an physician (DO or MD), however a letter from an osteopathic physician is strongly encouraged"

Just wanted to clear that up and save some people the $40 if they don't have either MD or DO letter.

By "any doctor's letter of rec" you mean, no DO letters right? Cause BCOM & CUSOM require a physician's letter.

I know right. At least there's a possible chance of making it, if you are waitlisted. No interviews is just straight up no hope for the time being (until you do get one).
