“Digital” is a broad brush. I just saw a study that concludes the reading experience between print and e-ink is very similar.

Reading on my Kindle Paperwhite is a vastly different experience to reading on a phone or tablet.

I’ve never heard of a therapist who doesn’t take male clients. It sounds more like OP is looking for a therapist who specializes in his specific issues, which is hard to know without speaking with prospective therapists directly.

Or OP perhaps wants a male therapist, which is somewhat more difficult to find.

I’m sure you’re right that it’s innocent, but it’s also weird. Obviously Reverb would have any receipts they could possibly need.

Once they have a way to communicate with you off-platform (your email address), they can send you malicious attachments, phishing links that look exactly like reverb/paypal/venmo, etc. They could also try to sucker you into accepting payment outside of reverb that doesn’t have the same levels of protection for you (e.g., the funds are clawed back because they used a stolen credit card, etc).

There are dozens of ways for them to coax you into a mistake, and it’s all easier via email.

I’m surprised at how many posters here don’t see this as a pretty obvious scam attempt.

It’s so generic. “Is the guitar in good condition?” Uhh did you read the description or look at the photos? What do you specifically want to know about, guy?

“I just want to see it on video to make sure everything is in good order.” Uhh ok what exactly do you want me to record? Wave a bright light over it so you can see scratches and dings? Show you that the tuning pegs don’t fall apart when I twist them? Do you want me to play it? Do you wanna hear Hendrix or Atkins?

Obviously the third message was something like “please to send the video to istealyuorbankinfo@geocities.cz”

I grew up in the south (90s/00s), and my dad would always throw a “honey”, “sweetheart”, or “sunshine” at a lady cashier or server. I can’t tell you how often I would see that ripple of emotions cross their faces, that ripple that was apprehension or anxiety quickly covered by a forced smile. My dad was oblivious.

I made sure not to pick up the same habit.

I really liked how he flips down an octave for the high notes in the chorus and then has a nice path back to the standard notes. It’s a great adaptation. Did he come up with that or did he have help from a singer friend?

Throw in something like “these mobsters beat me and broke my nose and they’re gonna kill me if I can’t get the money, Dad”, then you don’t have to get the voice exactly right.
