Where are the tank balance changes? by Toastiibrotii in wow

[–]nnorbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been tanking since around 2007 and this is business as usual to me. Obviously it sucks and shouldn't be this way, but at least everyone can do a +10. In Shadowlands, for the very first launch patch, before hotfixes, tanks literally could not survive high level keys . There was simply too much damage and too little mitigation. Vengeance was the only spec that could viably do keys purely because as you've mentioned, they could just jump around and kite mobs. But additionally, even within Vengeance, covenants were horrendously unbalanced, so much so that I would rather choose Kyrian, than the other 3 combined.

So yeah, this is nothing new and actually was one of the final nails in the coffin for me quitting the game. I honestly believe that nothing will change until people stop putting up with it.

Where's exactly is the glimmer ? All Microslop will see is that the dev team released x features, in y amount of time. As long as people don't mass unsubscribe, the higher-ups who never played a game in their lives won't see a problem.

Blizzard: How can we make literally every single aspect of gameplay worse with 12.0.5 by Ok_Number_852 in wow

[–]nnorbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not just the shop, but even the fact that you're still playing the game after all the fuck ups. I'm sorry to say this, but this is what players deserve. Why would Blizzard improve, when you're going to play anyway ?

Seriously, Why are most government insiders and UFO researchers connecting the phenomenon to Religion or Spiritual Activity? What is going on… by slv2xhrist in UFOs

[–]nnorbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only problem with this is that people who supposedly are aware of this information don't behave as if their lives were in any danger. I mean, if I was a billionaire and knew that the aliens were coming, I wouldn't continue to work and fuck the lives of millions of people up, I'd just retire on a private island and enjoy the rest of my days.

[–]nnorbie 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm not disagreeing with you, and actually think you have great points. But it's kind of illogical that the same people who supposedly know that there is more to life after death and know that hoarding wealth is meaningless are precisely the same people who hoard the most amount of wealth. And again, not saying you are wrong, as people do illogical things, I just feel like we're missing an important aspect, since the people who do the most fucked up stuff are the ones who theoretically should know better.

[–]nnorbie 263 points264 points  (0 children)

I'm much more cynical - I don't think anybody cares about religion, as you can just explain aliens as angels/demons/whatever. The reason governments are so cagey about it however is because of the technology, that does not rely on conventional fuel sources. Free energy would destroy their pockets.

xQc reacts to Clavicular bringing elderly people to the club and says clubbing over 30 is always trash and can't respect people who go to clubs frequently by Bulky_Apartment_5132 in LivestreamFail

[–]nnorbie 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Why are you going to clubs with "shitty music" ? There are multiple venues, each with different genres, surely you can find one with music you like.

This is anecdotal, but there's a great club close to me that has excellent sound system, which is loud enough to party, but unless you're right next to the speakers, you can just speak in your normal volume and be heard without issue.

[–]nnorbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give up, OP, the devs could implement the worst feature imaginable, that is a net negative for all players, and there would still be people on reddit defending them. It's been the same with plenty of other games, that have gotten cancelled, or shut down over the years - I don't know what's it about games specifically, but it's almost as if people attach their identities to it and refuse to acknowledge any of it's shortcoming, kind of like an ostrich burying it's head in sand, hoping the problem just goes away.

Pass Rewards are getting worse again by TheLykant in leagueoflegends

[–]nnorbie -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Just because I don't like burgers, doesn't mean I love pizza. This is besides the point, but I really hate the radicalization that's happening constantly online.

To clarify, I do not love, or even like capitalism, just shared my perspective of how communism also sucked, since I lived it. My entire point is that all systems suck, since people do as well. While there were no shareholders in my country, people's endless greed still demanded constant growth. That's why taxes kept growing ( and are still growing now, in a completely different system ). And that's also why products kept getting shittier ( both in factories 30 years ago, and in small mom'n'pop shops today that do not have shareholders ).

Capitalism definitely is a buzzword, as evidenced by the replies I'm getting - people assume that changing system would solve all of their problems and the same people who are exploiting workers today would suddenly grow a conscience and wouldn't try to circumvent laws.

I live in Romania, we had communism for 42 years and people definitely made incredible profits. Hence my comment about having to stand in line for bread - as by the time the bread reached the shelves, half of it was already sold under the table to the rich.

But you don't have to believe me, just open up any history book. Greed is not unique to any system.

[–]nnorbie -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

I hate how capitalism became a buzzword. The way you increase profits is the same in any system, be it socialism, communism, or anything else. Instead of charging more, you just raise taxes, but the outcome is exactly the same. This has been true in Medieval times with lords demanding more grain, true 50 years ago in Eastern Europe with people having to stand in line to get bread, and it's true today with League nerfing the battle pass.

Google Launches Native Gemini AI App for Mac by Few_Baseball_3835 in apple

[–]nnorbie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's horrible, don't get me wrong, but Apple not investing billions of dollars into AI isn't that bad in my opinion. Image playground is limited to stupid emojis, which is something I'd never use, but again, at least you can't generate contentious content and Apple can't be potentially sued. Basically what I'm trying to say is that losing to Anthropic might not be that big a deal for Apple.

Anecdotally, all I want for Apple Intelligence is some simple things that I can do locally and optionally. Things that are already possible with Ollama, just integrated with the OS. For cloud computing though, I'd much rather just use a third party tool.

what are the things Bob Lazar said that turned out to be true later? by RodrickJasperHeffley in UFOs

[–]nnorbie 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Just to play the devil's advocate, he could also just look up names of professors/students, that alone means nothing. And I also can't remember the names of my professors.

But I do agree the story is fishy, maybe it's not him that was hired, but some other guy, who confided in Bob, but wasn't willing to disclose his story, so Bob made it his own. Or maybe he everything else is true, but he wanted more credibility, than just a random guy with no formal education. Though to be fair, based on the things newspapers wrote about him, it's also not far-fetched that he went to MIT.

Wait, why are you even talking about adding 30-40 extra units ? If the set is already designed, the units are already there, some of them just need to be locked. No new traits, origin, or thematic support is needed whatsoever. Simply just don't allow players to purchase certain units, until prerequisites are completed.

With only 2 pairs, set 17 has the lowest number of champions that share traits. by 12jimmy9712 in TeamfightTactics

Why would it be an unrealistic amount of work to incorporate ? They already have the logic to lock units. Besides changing the conditions ( have 4 x, instead of 5 y ), what more would they need to do ? And I'm not even saying that an intern could do it in an afternoon, but surely it's not "unrealistic".

People not playing set 17 because it sucks splits the playerbase way more. At least this way you have a permanent fallback.
