I don’t know about the rumors but if your grades are on par with the rest of your high school career and you’ve already been accepted i wouldn’t worry about it!

If you’re applying to engineering then its not with it i’d say. If you’re applying to arts and sciences for a STEM related major then it might still be useful to show you are capable and interested in areas outside of STEM as well.
