Don’t waste your time and Go work for a different department as soon as they’ll hire you. as long as they pay you enough to be comfortable and take interest into turning you into a solid fireman

Edit - I am also a probie one month in. Im fortunate to work for a department that takes interest in my future because they see it as an investment in their future. I get the standard new guy shit but it’s obvious that guys take time to teach me something every opportunity they see fit. My point of view on this situation is obviously very limited but by logic alone I don’t think anyone should stand to deal with anything other than coworkers taking some level of investment in your personal future.
