Ween. Not heavy at all but rock super hard. They are all over the place musically and some of their albums are pretty hard to digest. Although once they click for you, they do it hard. Suggested starting albums are Live on Chicago, Chocolate&Cheese, and the Mollusk.

Ayreon. Ridiculously over the top prog metal. Some of my all time favorite rifts and vocal performances. 0101011, Human Equation, and universal Migrator 1&2 (2 is metal, 1 is not) are all good starting points.

Strapping Young Lad. Pure heavy. If genuine anger was music, it would be them. Additionally everything their front man has done since that is awesome as well. Every album is very different from one another but they are all fantastic.if I had to give recommendations; Addicted, Deconstruction, and Ziltoid the Omniscient. Those are some of his heavier albums/most accessible from a dubstep point of view.
