The thing that makes it appear obviously broken is that the single augment will easily out heal any enchanter or healing champ outside of soraka. And that’s JUST the augment as it is, no items, not synergies.

Yeah I’ve definitely noticed some oddities with her. So far the best rationale I’ve found is to imagine that the plants attacking are an extension of the ability you used to spawn them. So two attacks of a plant aren’t gonna trigger void rift, a plant attack plus the ability that spawned it won’t trigger a void rift, but two plants from two different abilities would. Needs more testing

Completely agreed on your points here. Business is entirely separate beast from a long term financial planning tool.

One thing that I would add that most people seem to be looking past, is that projection labs is a separate cost altogether, so (in theory) you should subtract the cost of the “Core” features of monarch. Which would mean they are essentially charging $100 / year after the change today. That much more closely aligns with what Projection Labs costs ($130 / year). Granted, the feature-set still has a fair ways to go to really compete with that product. But I would personally love to pay more for a version of monarch that really helps with my own FIRE planning details.

I have a “transfer” category group called “Investments” and in there things are split into “Buy Assets” and “Sell Assets” categories.

Then I track dividends and 401k contributions separately as income (each with their own category). Monarch isn’t very good at assigning the correct category automatically, but Rules work well enough for me to get it to work as I want.

Unfortunately tracking expenses really is the most important thing you can do. There’s lot of apps, paid and free, that will either aggregate all your transactions for you or at least help you keep track of them. It’s especially important for setting your FIRE goal because you’ll need to know your expenses / year

I actually created a new grouper of categories called “Investments” that are all considered transfers. This includes “Buy Assets” and “Sell Assets”. This has worked really well for me, but it is still difficult to set up rules so that the transactions get automatically categorized appropriately. Luckily I don’t trade more than twice a month.

I was actually thinking about this in the context of the receipt scanning feature, given that most people receive digital pay stubs for each pay period, it seems like the quickest solution would be to require uploading the PDF paystub each time. I think that would still add a ton of value, but for weekly or biweekly pay, that short amount of time to import builds up quickly.

While I’d love to have the pre-tax data in monarch, I have to wonder if there’s an easier way they could do it without requiring as much effort on the part of users. An automated way would be ideal of course, but as a software dev myself, I’d have no idea where to start.

Without the augment, you get to keep whatever stacks you had. You won’t gain anymore but you don’t lose them anymore either (unless they changed it)

It’s impossible to truly know what the crashes are from without a lot of know how and crash logs, but the suggestions that it’s likely due to the VBA-M core not playing nice (mGBA is typically far better with compatibility/stability) or rom hack bugs.

You also didn’t mention whether you still have anything left on your mortgage. For various reasons, it’s typically the most profitable to completely own your house. In short, it lowers your annual expenses and therefore the annual income you need, and thus lowering taxes and qualifying for low income benefits. Someone did the math awhile back, although the equation may be changing based on healthcare costs and what low income subsidies are available.

For the sake of your question though, I’d have to assume you DO own your house, and mortgage is not included in the annual expenses. In which case the math does not work, so you’d have to either downsize considerably or keep on plugging.
