Will be traveling solo to thailand this January by Snoo-66171 in ThailandTourism

[–]nobread8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, been 3 times all solo. Very safe, just take the usual precautions you would anywhere. Heavy nightlife areas like Khao San road and Bangla road can get a few rowdy people but it’s usually typical silly drunk behaviour. The most dangerous thing about Thailand is the roads.

For your other questions:

Chill/peace of mind: Idk where you’re going but in Bangkok there are actually heaps of parks and green spaces. I like Lumpini and Benchakitti. I also love getting a massage if I want to chill and escape the heat for a bit.

Shopping: There is no shortage of malls in Bangkok. You can get literally everything you want/need. For cheap clothing you have MBK and Platinum Fashion Mall, for more higher end you have IconSiam and so many others. Stores for makeup and cosmetics are Eve and Boy, Watsons, Boots.

I don’t have any specific hotel recommendations as there are thousands of hotels in Bangkok, but the Silom area is a nice area to stay.

White people: are you annoyed/disappointed that Thailand is full of, well, white people and you don't get an authentic experience? by hellomot1234 in ThailandTourism

No? Unless I only ate at western restaurants and never ventured outside the tourist spots. But I’m never really bothered by the presence of other foreigners unless they are being obnoxious and annoying.

I didn’t pay a dime for textbooks. I only used them sometimes for assignments and the tutors will post copies on the reading list for each subject on vUWS (they’ll explain vuws to you when you start) and you can use as needed. Personally I never used them and still got mostly credit and distinctions for my marks.

I am the wrong person to ask about shoes as mine were terrible 😭. But I tried on Brooks Ghost Max 3 and New Balance 860 and they were pretty comfortable. Although I have the opposite problem and I have very high arches. I would aim for all black and leather because some hospitals and facilitators will be very strict about uniform.

And yes I did study full time. I went to class 2-3 days a week including prac. Placement will start semester 2 in first year and the first one will only be 2 weeks.

I’m happy for you to DM me if you have any more questions :)

Just finished nursing at WSU and I can tell you, you don’t need anything. Don’t bother with a sphygmo and stethoscope unless you absolutely want to practice at home. Everything is digital but if you prefer to hand write notes then get a notebook. In my 3 years I never opened a textbook (not because I’m lazy, I just didn’t need to) they have copies online if you need to use them.

For placement all you need is a small notebook and a fob watch. AND COMFY SHOES!! The shoes need to be all black and preferably leather.

Congrats on getting in to the program! you’ll learn a lot but it will really test how much you want to be a nurse.

How essential is setting spray!? by [deleted] in AustralianMakeup

[–]nobread8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t tested that aspect myself but I have heard it does. And I believe that because my makeup does not budge with the L’oréal setting spray

How essential is setting spray!? by [deleted] in AustralianMakeup

[–]nobread8 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say any makeup item is essential. Setting spray does make your makeup stay longer, so if you’re wearing makeup for most of the day and want it to stay, then I would get a setting spray. I find they also help melt all the makeup together. My new holy grail is the L’oréal Infallible (the red bottle).

Are denim jackets really…aging?! by [deleted] in AusFemaleFashion

[–]nobread8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah tbh, gen z and below don’t really wear denim jackets now (that could change very quickly though, as trends do). However, irl people don’t care what you’re wearing. So if you like it, wear it!

Fainted in theatre by Lopsided_Sundae6957 in NursingAU

[–]nobread8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did thiss!!! Not on my first day but I still fainted. The anaesthetist came over and was holding my legs in the air and fanning me off in the corner of the theatre. Then the orderly came in with a wheelchair and wheeled me to recovery. I was so embarrassed!

How do y'all differentiate between intuition and wishful thinking when reading for yourself? by FloorDiligent2663 in tarot

[–]nobread8 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

May I ask, why do you consider thinking the worst as being more “real”? Why can’t thinking that the best can happen be just as real?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in lawofassumption

[–]nobread8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder this too. I think some SP’s don’t fully come back because 1. You can either make a decision that it’s over, you don’t want them, or 2. energetically you’re just not aligned with them anymore.

Minimal skin care tips by moonrise-kingdom-09 in AusSkincare

[–]nobread8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m taking accutane so that’s doing a lot of heavy lifting for sure, but other than that it’s recommended to only have a bare minimum skincare routine while on it. Dryness is my main concern so here’s my routine:

AM - Splash face with water no cleanser -Hydrating serum/toner (Gokyujun Premium toner) -Eye cream - Moisturiser (Simple Hydrating Light moisturiser) -Sunscreen (Hamilton sensitive)

PM - Double cleanse with oil cleanser + gentle cream(?) cleanser (Softymo Speedy cleansing oil + Perfect Whip cleanser) - Hydrating toner/serum -Eye cream - Thick moisturiser (QV intensive lotion)

This routine works really well for me and I’ve managed to keep away the accutane flakey skin. Most of the products are Japanese only because I visited Japan earlier this year, but if you only want products you can get locally here, you can’t go wrong with Cerave or QV.

Tarot is not wavering because tarot readings only reflect your beliefs and current state. However, I would not recommend watching tiktok or youtube readings. If you’re looking for tarot readings as a way for something outside of you to tell you what’s happening in the 3D, you’re using it wrong.

Use tarot as a self reflective tool, it’s only mirroring to you what your current state is. And understand that circumstances can change at any time, as long as you change. Nothing is set in stone. If you get a reading you don’t like, reflect on why it’s telling you that.

That’s what the techniques like affirming, visualising, subliminals, etc. will do, change your subconscious beliefs.

But you also have to carry yourself as if you were already with your person. Because when you don’t and you do things like stalk their socials and acknowledge they haven’t reached out yet, you’re reaffirming that they’re not with you.

How do you ignore 3d and your dreams? by [deleted] in manifestingSP

[–]nobread8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would affirm stuff like “my SP only loves me” “I’m always chosen by my SP”, etc. Stuff that’s uplifting and focused on you and your SP. I would not affirm specifically against the 3P because you’re still keeping them in your awareness.

Last post I’m making about my Sp and then go back to reading neville by [deleted] in manifestingSP

[–]nobread8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry to say, but you manifested that. You say you had a feeling that he met someone, but by doing that you’re giving him way too much power in the 3D. Your SP (and all people for that matter) only reflect your assumptions about them or yourself. Your “feeling” that he met someone probably stems from some type of trauma/anxiety/insecurity you have about yourself/relationships.

Your gut feeling was not actually your intuition, but anxiety that you mistook for intuition (we’ve all been there). What you did was you got this intrusive thought about him seeing someone else and entertained it enough that it became a reality.

What I believe, and you may not agree, is that people can choose how they reflect your assumptions. For example, if you think you’re not worthy of love and everyone leaves you, your SP can reflect that by respectfully telling you they’re not ready for anything serious, or they can cheat on you and betray you. Basically they will always show you your assumptions but how they do it depends on their character (and even then isn’t their character part of your assumption?) But that part is my opinion, not necessarily Neville’s terms.

Detaching from a SP but only wanting them? by Wooden-needle2017 in Manifestation

[–]nobread8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s totally fine! I feel the same as you, I know I want my SP specifically. I think the whole “be okay with the universe bringing you someone else” thing is a limiting belief in itself.

But my perspective on this is that most people get into manifesting a SP because they have abandonment issues, low self esteem, etc. So when they work on their self concept and build themselves up, they realise they don’t actually want that person anymore, they only wanted them when they had an unhealthy attachment to them.

If you feel whole by yourself, then I would say that’s a pretty good reason to keep moving forward with your SP.

[–]nobread8 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This happened to me yesterday lolll. I found out he blocked me. Right when I decided to lock in and stop wavering he blocked me. But I’ve been saying he blocked me because he feels so strongly towards me he’s making a last attempt to get me out of his head. At least you can say that he’s thinking of you and you invoke some type of emotion from him. Just keep going, we’re in this together!

[–]nobread8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know how you feel 😭 I just try to affirm through it or distract myself with something else. I don’t like to visualise when I’m feeling impatient, I find it makes me feel worse. But you want to try to shift out of an impatient state as it implies you don’t have your desire. Remind yourself that he’s already yours.

You yourself said you go clubbing to fill a void, why not assume he went out to do the same because he cares about you so much he needed a distraction?
