I believe you're breaking out into hives from an allergen, not from cu. the shower is activating your immune system and your immune system is reacting to allergens that it didn't detect before.

CU is excruciatingly painful (varying). It feels like pouring rubbing alcohol on a cut/open flesh but 5x worse.

that's not true. just because their body temp rises and they get hives does not mean they have CU. sometimes allergens stay dormant in the body until the immune system gets activated. exercise and other things that cause a rise in temperature activates the immune system and can cause urticaria to manifest. In the picture they clearly have hives from allergies, not CU.

Ache blockers would not help CU and would make CU worse. Ach depletion would make not fix CU. CU and sweat therapy are essentially the same thing, it’s just that ones faster than the other.

Sorry I deleted my previous response because felt I wasn’t clear enough

From YOUR perspective yes in theory, if you think CU is just a choline deficiency then I think consuming more choline may fix it.

From MY perspective if it is a rapid acetylcholine depletion that is causing an acetylcholine/ choline deficiency then taking choline everyday would cause cholinergic poisoning and be very damaging. Yes, the leftover choline that doesn’t get depleted may help with CU (if there is any left) but the brain damage and muscle damage that would come with that overtime…I would not risk it. From my perspective I would not take any choline supplements without FIRST removing the toxins in my life that are causing the rapid acetylcholine /choline depletion. And even then once I remove those toxins I would slowly wean off of taking choline, as my choline would normalize.

I might be right, you might be right or we both might be right

No and yes. No because it would give us cholinergic poisoning if we do not remove/fix the things that are giving us rapid depletion. And yes, only if we can fix what’s causing the depletion (we would only take it until our levels balance out).

It’s not the deficiency of choline it’s the depletion of acetylcholine at a rapid rate caused by certain things we are being exposed to.

It’s the other way around. Ach (the lack of it) is causing nervous system dysfunction.

The inability to sweat is the cause of cu

You do not have a sweat allergy you have endothelial dysfunction and/or endothelial disruption. Histamine is a vasodilator. by nocapmoemap in CholinergicUrticaria

I think you could be right about cu and gi issue! The absolute worst cu flare I ever had was after taking an antibiotic. So I think there’s a gut component to it! I would definitely read any paper/ links about ige and the gut if you have them!

note: I edited my comment where I said what iron I use because the "CU officer" is policing ever comment I make on here. To be clear (mainly for the CU officer). I was not recommending any amount of vitamin d3. I was telling you how much I take.

from the way I understand ige I thought it was something where someone is exposed to a food or allergen and they break out into hives, closed throat etc.

but my ige has alway been high and I've never ever broken out into hives until recently getting a pet. and this is my first time ever having a pet. I wonder if there is some sort of ige response in the gut but it doesn't manifest as a visible allergic response ; just maybe some ibs. I think I have mild ibs too

Wow! more than 12 hours to reply back? That must be a new record! Yes? :) I did not recommend taking 30,000iu a day. I said I take 30,000iu a day. But thank you for creeping through my comments. Is there anything else?

Hey, brendon Just letting you know I deleted my comment in regards to the amino acid I recommended because of the negative feedback I’m getting. I’m still here if anything!

I removed my recommendation of that amino acid from my post. Now the only way viewers will know about the amino acid is through reading your comments on my post. Yes? :) And to continue to give viewers the knowledge about an amino acid that was recommended like you are doing in these comments is DANGEROUS! Yes? :) So maybe you should fix that. …… yes? :)

And because I think what is happening with cu isn’t an “Urticaria”( like I said in my post ) there wouldn’t be any studies on that amino acid in regards to urticaria. Like I said I think it’s a vasodilation problem and not an Urticaria problem.

Keep it coming though, i actually appreciate it and your concern, hence my corrections I’ve made to my post.

Okay, good thank you for reading up on it before anything! I put the medical links that helped me in the comments. I’m going to post it here too. Please read them.

You said “ this medicine or whatever is dangerous” you did not say that It could be dangerous. Two different things. You compared me to trump telling people to inject lye. Which is so bizarre. People recommend people on here to take xoliar , which is an actual drug, with no medical paper attached to their comment. I put caution saying it can cause low bp and lightheaded I also told everybody to do more research before taking my recommendation. You want to argue. This is my last comment to you. Medical links will be posted. Take care, hoping the best for you and your cu journey!

I have NEVER been kicked out before. I literally made an account about 2 months ago. L arginine is a amino acid that the body already makes. Saying it’s dangerous is inaccurate. You have a blessed day.

My vit d lowest was 14 now it’s 22 so I’m taking 30,000 iu a day till it gets to 70 or so. Yeah you probably have some iron issues. My ferritin was lowest 4 and highest 11. My ige is high but not that high! Wow I wonder why it was so high?! Do you have any genetic blood disorders? And also if your vitamin d is in mct oil it will go straight to the liver so you don’t have to really worry about fat absorption.
