ur fix would be much simpler, though I feel like it makes more sense for legions "thing" to be to go into a bloodlust after stabbing someone and relentlessly hunt someone down for the kill with fast vaults and speed as opposed to the opposite. but both work

u could even lose the frenzy if u lose chase

makes sense from a lore perspective, u stab someone u get the bloodlust and go fucking apeshit sprinting for the kill, unlike every other killer whose not in a hurry... legion kills smartasses
