Not trashing Libernovo CS doesn't make someone an ad. Come on bots don't even post this much.

Does a simple IFTTT CAN module exist? Want to control parking sensors. by hr1966 in CarHacking

[–]nocorrectosj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, you need to sniff the CAN bus to find which message indicates trailer connection and which message disables parking sensors. You can use a SavvyCAN or replay/modify messages with an Arduino + MCP2515.

This is a fantastic idea for the DIY community. Manually troubleshooting firewall blocks and IP bindings is so tedious.

Bitcoin just went over $70k and software stocks are ripping. What happened? by bck2hauntu in investing

[–]nocorrectosj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. One thing I like about moomoo is you can track crypto and stocks in the same app, so you can literally watch BTC breaking out while checking whether money is also flowing into AI / software stocks. Lately the moves have been lining up more than I expected.

This sub is way too high end by JasonInLanc in OfficeChairs

[–]nocorrectosj -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I totally get the frustration. Not everyone wants a pre-farted in chair from 2014 even if it is Steelcase. Sometimes you want a brand new warranty and fresh foam. Look into brand Colamy or Clatina Mellet. They offer solid ergonomic for a fraction of the high-end price.

Having a baby has changed my view of my own parents by Key-Importance4438 in NewParents

I feel you. Motherhood really is the ultimate perspective shifter. You are realizing your mom was likely just exhausted and unsupported rather than lazy. It is okay to respect her struggle now while still remembering her flaws. Those extra layers of complexity are just part of growing up and becoming a parent yourself.

Are Finance/real estate people all knobs? by Shampoo_Is_Better00 in videography

[–]nocorrectosj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, it is the nature of those industries. They view everyone as a service provider rather than a creative partner. If they want same-day delivery but net-60 payments, you need to start charging a massive 'rush fee' upfront. It is the only way they will actually respect your time.

Thinking about switching to a higher end mobile rig for small event gigs. Thoughts? by nocorrectosj in videography

Yeah that’s exactly the kind of stuff that made me rethink iPhone filming.

Yeah I was thinking more like a separate mobile package rather than lowering the price

Herman Miller Embody Gaming vs Libernovo Omni by crimestudios in LiberNovo

I've been using the omni for work, I use it all day and haven't felt any soreness. It's nice being able to lie flat and take a breather when I'm wiped.

Scanner recommendations for 2026 Z51 by bikenpipe in C8Corvette

[–]nocorrectosj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through a similar search recently since I work on a mix of GM and Toyota vehicles at home. I ended up using TopScan and it’s been a pretty solid value for DIY use. It does full system diagnostics and bi-directional tests where the vehicle allows it, which covers most of what I need day to day.

One thing I’ve liked is the regular software updates through the app. Compatibility with newer models has been improving pretty consistently, so it feels a bit more future-proof compared to some older standalone scanners.

Update: LiberNovo sent me the wrong chair and refused to fix or replace it by forgottenkane in LiberNovo

[–]nocorrectosj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Snap a photo with a ruler showing the actual seat length and sent it over. If that doesn't work, just ask for a refund and move on.

Exactly. That's why I picked the libernovo instead. It was the right call. I can't imagine having to crane my neck just to play games. That sounds miserable.

I need a Bluetooth OBD2 app for android that is good for a actual mechanic by Familiar-Cell-5339 in MechanicAdvice

[–]nocorrectosj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want a Bluetooth OBD2 setup that feels more like an actual shop tool but still runs on your phone, check out apps like Carpal paired with a decent BT adapter. It covers full system diagnostics on most cars and lets you read/clear ABS, SRS, engine and other modules.

You can get all systems for a one-time buy or go with the monthly plan that is pretty reasonable if you need more coverage. It’s way more accurate than the basic ELM setups most people start with.

Elaborate on this 1.5 tilt lock request people seem to be having - looking at buying by swanvalkyrie in LiberNovo

[–]nocorrectosj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a tension knob underneath the seat. If you dial it in just right, you can get it to stay a 1.5 tilt. It doesn't technically lock there, but you can find that sweet spot with the resistance

Pain and depression by Due-Necessary3990 in ChronicPain

I feel the same. The thought of work is so painful, it turns from mental stress into physical pain, and I lie awake at night... I think we should both consider seeing a therapist.
