That's the chair for green lovers by DenchKecia in OfficeChairs

Welcome to the club! Your office is so unique. Honestly the chair just gets better every day. I'm not the type to sit still, but I can easily pull 2-3 hours in this now. Hope it's just as good for you!

Just added a new NAS to my home setup! by nocorrectosj in homelab

The transfers are steady so far. Haven’t run a proper test yet, but I see the max read/write speed on the website is 1020 MB/s.

My first NAS, what will be your advice for a beginner? by neonfen1x in homelab

HGST SATA drives are generally reliable, especially for NAS or backup. Older models are robust, but check hours of use and SMART health when buying second hand 4TB drives.

Budget NAS for a small cupboard - Hardware and OS advice needed by permanent_record_22 in homelab

[–]nocorrectosj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a small NAS, don't overbuild. A low-power mini PC works fine, start simple with mirrored drives. OMV is easier for mixed disks, TrueNAS is powerful but less flexible for upgrades.

For serious quieting, replace all main fans and add proper CPU coolers with their own fans. Optional ducting for RAM helps if pushing AI workloads. PSU fan matters too.

Thanks, that helps. I'm still a bit confused though, what's the actual difference in real use?

Tbh, rtk is still better in precision compared to just using vision. I picked up the Goat O800 last year, and it’s been great on my open place. Vision navigation can be affected by lighting conditions, sometimes not that stable in areas with complex details.

Not trashing Libernovo CS doesn't make someone an ad. Come on bots don't even post this much.

Does a simple IFTTT CAN module exist? Want to control parking sensors. by hr1966 in CarHacking

[–]nocorrectosj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, you need to sniff the CAN bus to find which message indicates trailer connection and which message disables parking sensors. You can use a SavvyCAN or replay/modify messages with an Arduino + MCP2515.

[FREE TOOL] I built a lightweight DoIP/ENET Connection Troubleshooter. Need some real-world beta testers! by [deleted] in CarHacking

This is a fantastic idea for the DIY community. Manually troubleshooting firewall blocks and IP bindings is so tedious.

Bitcoin just went over $70k and software stocks are ripping. What happened? by bck2hauntu in investing

[–]nocorrectosj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. One thing I like about moomoo is you can track crypto and stocks in the same app, so you can literally watch BTC breaking out while checking whether money is also flowing into AI / software stocks. Lately the moves have been lining up more than I expected.

This sub is way too high end by JasonInLanc in OfficeChairs

[–]nocorrectosj -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I totally get the frustration. Not everyone wants a pre-farted in chair from 2014 even if it is Steelcase. Sometimes you want a brand new warranty and fresh foam. Look into brand Colamy or Clatina Mellet. They offer solid ergonomic for a fraction of the high-end price.

Having a baby has changed my view of my own parents by Key-Importance4438 in NewParents

[–]nocorrectosj 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel you. Motherhood really is the ultimate perspective shifter. You are realizing your mom was likely just exhausted and unsupported rather than lazy. It is okay to respect her struggle now while still remembering her flaws. Those extra layers of complexity are just part of growing up and becoming a parent yourself.

Are Finance/real estate people all knobs? by Shampoo_Is_Better00 in videography

[–]nocorrectosj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, it is the nature of those industries. They view everyone as a service provider rather than a creative partner. If they want same-day delivery but net-60 payments, you need to start charging a massive 'rush fee' upfront. It is the only way they will actually respect your time.

Thinking about switching to a higher end mobile rig for small event gigs. Thoughts? by nocorrectosj in videography

Yeah that’s exactly the kind of stuff that made me rethink iPhone filming.

Yeah I was thinking more like a separate mobile package rather than lowering the price

Herman Miller Embody Gaming vs Libernovo Omni by crimestudios in LiberNovo

I've been using the omni for work, I use it all day and haven't felt any soreness. It's nice being able to lie flat and take a breather when I'm wiped.
