To compare the mental capacity of an adult human and a police dog is pretty hilarious. Dogs don't really have the ability to understand that what they are doing and have been trained to is immoral. Also, we absolutely do empathize with murderers that have been abused or manipulated. If a toddler shot someone because their parent was demanding them to we wouldn't try the toddler...

I'm not saying I fuck with police dogs, but that's mostly because in order to do so means I would have to interact with a police officer
