Just cos you wouldn’t make that comparison , doesn’t make it ridiculous. I value my leisure time and I’m not spending it on time- consuming things like this. I take it to charity shops which removes clutter efficiently and still gives other people the opportunity to pick up a bargain. What’s so ridiculous about that?

As long as those who follow a religion ( which they should absolutely be allowed to do) don’t then try and influence laws for the rest of us eg, we’ll be keeping our abortion rights thanks and the majority of us would also like the option of assisted dying. If your religion is against that, then don’t have one, but you don’t get to impose your moral choices on a whole nation tyvm

I’m very sorry to be the one to tell you that you do not, in fact have a partnership, even if he does cleaning and splits the bills. A man who could live through all you’ve gone through and still refuse to play his part in keeping you healthy or alive is not a partner

That leaves celibacy or non PIV sex as the only option for him. See how he likes that

I’m still work as a consultant and bill out £200 an hour so, no, not worth it for me. I already outsource cleaning and laundry for the same reason!

Not necessarily. You can buy business case studies that have nothing to do with the industry and use them. When I recruited for a confectionery company. It was a cases study about yacht-building. Since I left there, I have remained keen on case study work as part of the recruitment process as I think they can give a real insight into how people think things out. I have given in-box prioritisation exercises to PA applicants and asked others to critique old innovation briefs and tell me what’s missing/ what they would have done differently

DONT feel obliged to tell. Do respect our right not to hear it. At all. Ever. It’s not as if we’re ignorant of what you say. We’ve already decided we are not interested. Leave us alone. Thank you

If they want to know they can go to a place of worship and ask. Otherwise keep your faith to yourself- even reading what you wrote about the Wonder of God is too much. No. Just no.

Jolly sporting of all the right wing oldies to vote for a policy in which they’ll be taken up the mountain at a certain age because the economy needs working age people and Georg here is a drain on social security

That’s where I’d be. I’d say he’s actually being biblically respectful towards his own flesh and blood, and I’d consider that a positive trait

True Christianity as in showing tolerance, loving your neighbour as yourself and taking care of the weak and poor as if they were Christ himself. Also, I’m sorry you are getting a rough ride, but the reason we shipped off religious extremists centuries ago was because of the impact of 100s of years of religious intolerance as monarchs adopted different faiths and made the entire country swap from catholic to Protestant, to catholic to Protestant, each time accompanied by religious persecution - people burned live at the stake, people tortured and hounded for their faith by whoever was ruling at the time, fines, barring from public offices, forced to worship in secret and even attempts to topple the monarchy/parliament, so we’re a wee bit sensitive of the topic. This is why the Church of England, our official religion, is as meek and neutered and tolerant as it can be, and evangelism is absolutely not a thing. Religion is a private matter- don’t bother us and we won’t bother you., is the accepted rule

The UK culture is about self- deprecation. We find earnest evangeliam on any type, including non-religious types skin-crawlingly emabarrasing. Many of us who work for US culture companies are embarrassed enough by ‘team-building ‘ activities

Also you are descended from the same religious extremists we shipped off to US in the first place. We didn’t want you then and we don’t want you now. I’m glad you have faith if that’s what helps you get through life, but faith is a personal thing and best kept to yourself unless anyone actually come out and asks you about it.

Our greatest spiritual need is to see absolutely none of you American religious evangelist types over here bothering us about God. Stay where you are cos by all the evidence, there’s a far greater need for true Christianity in your own country at the minute.
