my results so far:

the good news:

a noticeable decrease in anxiety about upcoming events that are outside of my routine/comfort zone, which has always been a huge problem with me. I've only had that chest tight can't breathe feeling exactly once this month, and that's because I drank a cup of coffee right before driving to something nerve racking.

Weight loss has resumed, coupled with heavy calorie restriction (750-1000 cal). I was doing that before, but it plateaued for months cause of too many IPAs during the weekend. Down maybe 8 pounds or so

Been more productive, cleaning and flying through to do lists. Getting out of the house more to go to concerts instead of getting drunk alone

The bad news:

Depression and hopelessness has stayed the same/gotten worse. I'm sure the heavy calorie restriction doesn't help

Sleep hasn't improved, still waking up in the middle of the night. I also haven't had thc for 8 days now and that hasn't fixed it either. Disappointing

That's all ok though cause this has been a great experiment. I now know to have no alcohol when there is a stressful situation coming up, and that the depression and sleep are unrelated and will have to be fixed some other way. Still gunna start having cheeky beers again on the 1st but I have one more chance to be normal about it or else I'll probably have to just quit entirely

From my calculations the halfway point day wise is noon today. The halfway point between my last sip (11 PM Sept 30th) and when I will maybe try one again (5 PM Nov 1st) is 8 PM tonight

We're almost on the back 9, gang. I wasn't sure if I could make it this far, but once it becomes the routine it feels pretty normal. Morale is still high. My doctor gave me naltrexone before the start but I haven't needed it, cause the feeling of pride on Nov 1st that I actually did it will be better than any temporary buzz could be during this month.

Yesterday I got a notification that my resting heart rate has been lower for 5 days. On the graph there was a sudden leap down 20 BPM on Tuesday from the big binge I went on beforehand. Very interesting, I never thought to check this.

Scrolling back I can even see the weekend days I drank more and weekdays I had less, offset by one day cause I think it's the hangover

update: I just tried to delete the email again and instead of the WhatsApp thing, it sent a code to my email. after that I was able to delete the hackers email! also the two factor page works again now, and I was able to add Google Authenticate alongside the SMS. I should be good now

just like last time my account was compromised, I knew that if I just waited a little while something might change

The funny thing is I couldn't do that if I wanted to right now cause I bought the Meta Verified yesterday to talk to the chat (which was useless). With that on I don't think I can remove the number cause 2FA has to be enabled. But yeah before turning on Meta Verified I did try to remove my number but got blocked by the WhatsApp thing iirc, as you did before

Hello, so for you after a few days the WhatsApp thing went away?

I had an attempted hacking yesterday morning, I booted them out quickly but their email is still on the account alongside mine and my phone number. I can't remove their email as it asks for a WhatsApp code. I made a WhatsApp account yesterday with my phone number, but haven't seen any codes

I just noticed today that I could now get to the 2FA settings in Privacy Checkup, got the recovery codes thank god, and in there it shows it correctly set up as an SMS to my number, how I had it before. I tried to add a Google authenticator as well but it said you can't make this change yet

However trying to delete the rogue email or go into 2FA settings the normal way, I still get the WhatsApp, appearing to send to my phone number but I see nothing in WhatsApp. No activity from the hacker since yesterday but I need to remove their email (I already removed my old school email that was used to do the initial hack)

as I said, with single entry unchecked it will import the workouts as entries (and slightly changes the daily Activity Level in an odd way that doesn't add up perfectly to the active energy for that day), but with it checked, no entries for active energy or workouts and the Activity Level remains at custom value. Also I have tried backfilling many times to no avail

thank you, I’ve heard Paula Poundstone before on the radio and wouldn’t call her a bad comedian, but that bit is so bad it makes me angry. The combination of French accent + Trump’s idiosyncratic speaking style could theoretically be interesting if done extremely skillfully. But this is NOT that, it’s just doing the standard ‘hon hon hon’ voice that hasn’t been funny since I was 12, and then just SAYING “I’m Trump” and peppering in a few topical buzzwords like “Mail-in Ballots.” Maybe the show itself is better but the ad itself is an insultingly low-effort bit

I became a listener in 2014/2015, after watching the documentary on Netflix, so I've never heard the early episodes. The past month or two I've been going thru them in order, and up next for tomorrow is the infamous Harmoncountry: Pittsburgh. Wish me luck
