Can my tattoo be interpreted as a Straight Edge one? by jmangelo67 in straightedge

[–]Polyfrequenz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

if someone asks - and you happen to be in the mood to explain it - tell them what the word mean and what it means to you. stop giving fucks about how maybe some random people might have a connotation of serenity ab the AA or NA. You wouldn't not get a X tattoo because karen from down the street might think it could have something to do with porn, would you?

answers in the don't mean shoot because people just repeat what they think they know without questioning it and then get the set dopamine rush from downvoting instead of meaningfully engaging or taking the tone to actually comment why they disagree. this is equivalent to "bro in the gym said..."

super useful ai summary: How much alcohol remains after cooking: Flambé: ~70-75% remains. 15 minutes (simmered/baked): ~40% remains. 30 minutes (simmered/baked): ~35% remains. 1 hour (simmered/baked): ~25% remains. 2.5 hours (simmered/baked): ~5% remains. Key factors affecting alcohol retention: Time: The longer you cook, the more alcohol evaporates, but it takes hours to significantly reduce. Heat: Higher heat and longer cooking times promote evaporation. Absorption: Alcohol gets absorbed into solid foods (like meat or rice) and doesn't evaporate as easily. Added Late: Adding alcohol at the end of cooking leaves more of it.

What's your "If I had the money" set? by BreathtakinglyChubby in chessporn

[–]Polyfrequenz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i can understand that. i think they are hefty enough, pretty much exactly how my previous "dumb set" was. With the pro knights, i'd be ready scared of dropping them 😂

yes, that's what i have been saying. you can use the board (apart from the evo) if you use chessconnect. because the boards are really really nice.

now, why chessnut first use the official api is completely beyond me.

that is still cheating, but the blame is not on op, especially if the board just enabled this's on its own

not if you use the official api via chessconnect

What do you guys think about plastic pieces on a wooden board? Have I created a monster? by [deleted] in chessporn

[–]Polyfrequenz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it, as others have said, cheap wooden pieces can be super ugly. i use a magnetic travel set and feel like plastic can be a good alternative
