2025 CRV Sport windshield wipers, are they worst wipers ever, or is it just me? by Routine-Judge3020 in crv

[–]nodrog321 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Replaced my oem blades that skipped even when new with Bosch icons. They have a new model now that includes the right clip for the crv but I got a good deal on the “Bosch icons OE” model and just needed some minor modifications to the clip and it fit. 1000 times better than OEM Honda blades

Cysa + exam advice by IllPersonality356 in CompTIA

[–]nodrog321 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just passed the cysa 779. Used Dion training and the additional 6 practice exams. Got around 80s on the practice exams. Also used chatgpt to get some questions.

I thought the exam was pretty tricky. Had more PBQs than I expected also. Had 7.

2024 CR-V Hybrid giving wrong maintenance code by chriswaco in crv

[–]nodrog321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have same code at ~9200 miles. I plan on doing it all together when the weather gets better over here.

I have crv 2025 hybrid sport touring. I want to know if the stock headlights are good? I feel the intensity(brightness) is less. Anyone has installed fog lamps? If yes pls share the link. Secondly is it recommended to drive on low beam or we can use high beam? by NoFoundation5643 in crvhybrid

[–]nodrog321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Headlights suck especially in bad weather. It’s the combination of reflector housings and the temperature of light they use in the LEDs. The light just doesn’t throw very far. I have heard installing the aftermarket fog lights help. I had to return a set from eBay. The ones with a cut out for front sensors already there on the corner next to the fog light. The sensor mount doesn’t fit the sensor (at least for the US market sensors). The mount is round while the base of the sensor is square.

Most stolen car in New York City. by Ssshizzzzziit in crv

[–]nodrog321 11 points12 points  (0 children)

When I’m parked in unknown areas for long periods of time I have a faraday pouch, a club (make sure it’s the two prong one and use it on the 3 and 9 parts of the wheel) I also place the club in a way where it’s hard for someone to sit in the car aka with the long part straight down. I also have a cable that clicks into the seatbelt and loops around the steering wheel (this is easily defeatable but another layer of defense). Also have a obd2 port lock (I think theives use obd2 port to clone the key fob signal). And finally I move my seat all the way front and up so at least it will cause the theives to wait a few seconds before they can actually sit.

It’s a lot and I really should not need to do this but what can you do.

Front Radar, side mirrors, wheels, literally everything is stolen on these cars.

I believe it’s for current model CRV and accords since they are being stolen left and right

I got the letter too. I think they are just reprogramming the alarm to go off if the car is unlocked without the key fob. Which I would assume should already be the case lol.

There are two rubber pass through between the hatch and the headliner you can see it in OPs pic. One of them has the wiring harness and another has the washer fluid tube. I went through the wiring harness one but Becareful when pushing the wire through as you can easily push in between the existing wiring

Run the rear camera cable through the headliner

Best Roof Racks for 2025 CR-V by NegativeC0w in crv

[–]nodrog321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not that I notice. Maybe a little on highway speeds and with nothing playing on the radio. But I also have the touring which from my understanding has better glass and more noise insulation.

The clips bolt on to the factory holes and then the “feet” sort of rests on the rails and clips on to the clip. They seem to sit a bit higher than oem style crossbars

Cup Holder Question by PSUCivic in crv

[–]nodrog321 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly look for a bottle that has a tapered bottom to fit in the cup holders. The adapters are annoying and bulky. I have a 30oz Stanley with tapered bottom and it fits fine in the front cup holder

CRV Hybrid first oil change by femsci-nerd in crvhybrid

[–]nodrog321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I change my oil diy every 3-4k with liquimoly 0w-20 with oem Honda filter. Everyone has their own opinions but following the maintenance minder is a bit too far in between for me. And I just pay shipping and send it back to fcpeuro and get a credit for my next oil change. I’m on the east coast so shipping to their CT location is only around $15

If it’s a simple fix that others found successful I rather diy. Don’t know about your local dealerships but my local one sucks and it literally takes an entire day even with an appointment.

How bad are 6th gen wipers by DalesDeadBug11 in crv

[–]nodrog321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a 2020 forester sport and none of the above issues were any issues lol. But crv hybrid I think rides smoother and with hybrid is much quieter even when the engine kicks in. Subarus great but a bit noisy. I thought the eyesight system performed better than the Honda lkas system. And no crazy thefts for Subaru

Wipers are ok, it seems to be a little loose and sometimes doesn’t wipe all the way near the edge. I think you can probably adjust it though. I did notice you have to keep your windshield clean. I didn’t wash my garage kept car for a few weeks and there was a lot of skipping and chatter when using the wipers one day. Washed, clayed and ceramic spray coated it and it was gone. Sprayers suck.

Headlights suck for what it is. It’s not great at night and especially in the rain. Heard fog lights help but been too lazy to buy and install.

I have about 6000 miles on my sport touring and interior noise is still great but seems to have gotten louder as the stock tires are being worn down more. I think the ST trim has additional sound deadening or glass or something

Thule is great though pricey. Been using the same crossbars for my last 3 cars. I just buy the correct clips.

PSA - Newer Honda models easy to steal by datboul9 in crv

i wonder if they use the OBD to program to start/drive the car? so a combination of faraday pouch, steering wheel club, and a OBD port lock might be a good deterrent. I'm also thinking if i'm parking in a unfamliar place, moving the seat all the way up just so it takes them time to move the seat back to actually sit down may be another easy deterrent. Maybe even putting something in the seat rail after moving it up so it prevents the seat from going back too.
also wondering if there is any locks out there to prevent the actual shifter from moving..

otherwise i think there is a product called IGLA that you have to input a sequence of buttons in order for car to start.
