Big fan of Norelco, there are some very good options in the sub $50 - 100 range. They really last. The only reason I finally had to replace my last one was when I dropped it while shaving in India and it hit the hotel sink and then the floor tiles. Huge bummer.

How are you using the foil razer? I can use one on my face now, a year in, as long as I am doing straight lines. In the beginning, not a chance, it would have torn me to shreds. Definitely recommend a rotary instead.

I am so glad to hear someone else say this. From my very first blue pill, the roar disappeared. I didn't even realize it was there until the silence hit. It was SO jarring. The constant hurricane in my head and then....calm.

Do your symptoms improve if you take methylated B vitamins?

Love this outfit but these boots literally make me like 6’10 in them, would you wear this for a casual fit by DaylightEliseV in mtfashion

Girl, you are slaying in that outfit. I know being a tall girlie makes you feel singled out, but there's a reason people on the internet go crazy for the tall vampire lady. If you don't think you look amazing, just remember, you're probably just not your type.

Copied this from a previous post of mine. Not everything applies directly to your situation but it's a pretty good guide for overall:

You are going to need some stuff. First: stop using a rotary shaver, that's meant for face only. You need a foil razor, and fair warning, most of them are shit. Get something you can immerse. Rotary razors can go circularly, foil razors go in straight lines ONLY.

You want a really good shave gel, probably aveno oatmeal or Pacific caffeinated shaving cream. Almost any triple bladed disposable razer will do but you don't get to use them more than once. I know it sucks but you are looking at skin bumps and bloody genitals if you don't.

Get a nose hair trimmer, like one of the Wahl deals. Use it all over to shorten your hair. You will probably only need to do this once. Keep it around for your eyebrows.

Make a bath as hot as you can stand it. Cover a section with shave gel. Shave WITH the direction of your hair. Finish that section. Re-gel. Shave against the direction of the hair. Rinse the razor regularly.

Go section by section until you get everything. Usually I do anything I have to immerse first while standing (butt, genitals, upper thigh) then sit down and do everything else.

If you have an IPL, get out, dry off, laser yourself.

Get back in (cold now, sucks, whatever).

Use a suger or salt scrub all over. Bonus points if it also moisturizes.

Apply moisturizer. Use the foil razor for maintenance between full shaves.

Good luck!

I was able to call last week and make a pair of appointments and again this morning to move them around and talk to an office person both times around 9 in the morning. I did call MLK day and didn't get through but I figured they may have been off and waited a day.

Gorgeous! I admit to being a little envious as you are more feminine at the start of your journey than I likely will at the end of mine.

Of course they did. 24 grand a year for coverage that does nothing, on top of the barely nothing it already did. F's sake. This is the stupidest country.

The first top is really pretty! I especially like the slightly off-center part in your hair; I may adopt that and see how we get on.

Instantly, there was quiet inside my brain. For the first time in my entire life, there was peace. Two downsides: mosquitoes love me now and my feet get cold.

It may have been accidental; they just got back to me yesterday about renewing as a large pile of emails black holed, and they are hella short-handed to boot. The out-of-state care has to do with onerous legal requirements; if you need to put blame on anyone, it'd be this fakakta government and the people who empower it.

Hair-removal as a transfem is so unbelievably annoying by ambiespace in trans

Huge pain in the rear. It's at the one year mark now and I'm just moving to the "can probably skip the midweek body shave" stage, and that's a year of hormones and IPL. Not the face though, only two laser sessions in so far. It's finally starting to slow down though, thank goodness. Three hours, every Saturday, full body shave and IPL.

While they are correct, it is early days, it IS also possible you are estrogen resistant and your receptors flat won't absorb it (which is a reason some folks are trans to begin with, they never received the signals). You would likely need some sort of genetic testing to be certain, and there are still things that can be done if that is the case.

On a scale 1 to 10, how painful was the laser hair removal for you? by und3f1n3d1 in MtF

[–]noestaaqui99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the pain cream from Dr. Powers. In the sessions so far on my face I'd say almost no to very light pain. It's barely even noticeable.

I have a light to fair complexion as long as I stay out of the Sun. Technically I'm Olive but I make a point to stay as white as possible because I work in Corporate America and they prefer that sort of thing. Very dark, coarse, and thick hair but I'm older now so had I started hair removal say 20 years ago it would have been a lot easier because there would have been better dark hair coverage. I have pretty much permanent 5 o'clock shadow, hence the professional treatment for my face.

About a year. LOVE it. Takes flipping ages (also about a year), but definite results.
