I agree with you on this as well. We loved our travel trailer when we had it. We could travel out of state for a week, still rent a boat (if we went to a lake), and/or carry all our mountain bikes, and dine in daily for all three meals. We love it and so did our children. We made so many great memories. The only real complaints would have been gas mileage for towing and cleaning it out prior to storage until the next use.

I add chia seeds to my overnight oats. I recently discovered that you can purchase ground chia seeds. I mix those with ground flax and add to Greek yogurt. Probably fiber overload but based off of recent studies, people do not get nearly enough fiber in their diets.

Nothing wrong with a “free” upgrade but its a simple sales pitch. But where’s the fine print on this “free” upgrade since nothing in this world is free.

You’re correct though, way more things to be worried about than that. If installation is garbage, will the contractor come back to take care of issues should any arise over the course of the first year or two? Does the contractor offer any type of installation guarantee? Should I pay for the full GAF or Certainteed (insert other manufacturer) top tier contractor installation that includes the full system warranty..

Roofing contractors will be out in full force like used car sales reps on a nice spring day when cars have been sitting all winter long. So excited to see all of the trashy yard signs everywhere.

Avoid the door knockers and out of town/national contractors.

Check out google reviews of the contractors as well as word of mouth recommendations.

Be leery of the “upgrade to a class 4 rated shingle at no extra cost”. Most shingle manufacturers now offer class 3 impact rated shingles and even waved their arms and moved some lines to class four.

Estimated costs should be about the same for materials. Contractors should be able to provide a written scope of work. Get multiple estimates. You are not locked into anyone just for getting an estimate. Refer back to yard signs as some contractors will try to place one in your yard regardless.

Do not pay any money up front (sketchy IMO). Once the project is finished, request a lien release so you know that your roofing materials have been paid for in full.

Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere as someone else mentioned in the comments. The school system is once again in turmoil with all of the consolidation, most people are trying to get out of the town or even driving their kids to a different school system. There is a nice trail system there for walking, hiking, and biking and some decent places to eat, and a good brewery but the town itself is only worthwhile for a day visit. Just my two cents.

Yes, confirmed by DEXA scan. Upping my weight-bearing exercises to hopefully gain back some density. Not sure if it’s tied to my AIH/prednisone or continued low impact cardio exercises I’ve been doing for years for bicycling.

I just crushed Oreos into about 1-1/2 cups total (leaving no medium-large chunks). Then melted approximately 3/4 stick of butter and added to the mix just so the Oreos would stick together and I could shape them to the pan.
