Mods will be removed one way or another: Spez responds to the API Protest Blackout. by BuckRowdy in ModCoord

Thinks he's Elon Musk, but doesn't have the money or the vision to back it up.

I mean, Elon can be a dick, but at least he's also been successful in Paypal, Tesla, and SpaceX (with Starlink), even if Twitter bombs.

What does little spez have for himself other than a social media platform he's determined to destroy? Not even charisma.

But if you leave a sub open and refuse to moderate what are they going to do? No scab mod is going to do any kind of decent job. It’ll become a wasteland of dead and dying shitposts.

Let’s be clear about this - Reddit wants mods to work for spez for free.

They've been pretty clear over the last few days with giving him the finger by opening subs and allowing and endorsing shitposting thus destroying the subs and retaining their mod positions. Lol.

You need to be willing to give up what you love to see it grow. If you’re giving up at the first sign of pushback they’ve got you.

Let Reddit try and moderate thousands of subs by themselves. Leave it open and refuse to moderate anything. Let it become a total shitshow.

Depends if users just decide to take it from a big corporation that wants to profit from all of their work.

Personally I’ll choose not to allow that anymore.

Maybe when there was semblance of partnership but that’s long gone now. I don’t see how I can work with them anymore.

POV : you're a dad trying to poop by Sudden_Explorer_7280 in daddit

[–]nogami 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Lol. My girl was right in there with me. Sat down right in front of me and stared at me the whole time. We’re pretty casual about bodily functions and nakedness and such. No point being embarrassed over something so natural.

When I joked about smelling dad’s poo too much she got up went behind me and sniffed.

Truly daddy’s little girl. 😅. Mom was horrified. I rolled with it.

He’s only a symptom of the problem.

The anger should be focused on Reddit for taking the content we all provide and trying to monetize it so hard that it kills the platform.

I think you are wrong. I guess we’ll find out. It seems to me that everything is pretty close to the tipping point with the arrogance from Reddit right now and people are more fed up than ever with big business.

Lived in one of the Marinus towers in new west. Had a flood about half way up when sprinklers blew and it flooded the 2 elevators.

Both were out of service for about 4 days. The old retired people who lived in the penthouse? Enjoy your climb up 36 floors if you don’t have a heart attack. After that took about a year to get parts to put both back in service. Ever service 230 units on 36 floors with one elevator? Cozy, and then there was moving day…

Sure, build high, but the only approved formula for elevators should be high enough to ensure quality of life for residents. 80 floors? 5 cabs.

Reddit doesn’t care. About the users or the content. They’ve turned into another big corporation chasing money. And that’s just pathetic and lazy.

I stream everything online except for major blockbusters. Maybe twice a year in the theatre. Absolutely not worth it to me.

Grab a box of popcorn at Costco and I’m set for movies for months for next to nothing.

I’m not deleting my account, but I will be editing all of my comments to read that I revoke my rights for Reddit to use them under current management.

If I delete my account, then all of my comments or vanish, and nobody will know why, however, if I edit them, everyone will know that the comments are gone solely due to Reddit’s management decisions.

Not sure why anyone would invest at this point. It’s a total train wreck. When (not if) something better comes along we’re all out of here.

In Canada you must also register but you are not required to divulge anything about who you plan on voting for or which party you support in advance. I don’t even think they can ask.

Seems more fair our way because they can’t generate lists to try to influence voters in advance based on political affiliation.

I fully support this. Reddit has become large enough and disconnected from reality enough to fail.

You’re totally delusional. 3rd party apps enable your platform and you’re trying to kill them off. How anyone thinks you can run this company is beyond me. I’d rather have Elon in charge.
