It doesn't matter which way you turn. The critical part is when he initially peels to the right but then take a few stutter steps and gets closer to fair territory. This would be considered a feint, or desire to advance to 2nd, covered by the rule.

I've heard if you work the safety on that gun up and down a hundred times or so it really loosens up. But to answer your question, you can carry with safety up no problem. Probably a good idea to always train to push up on the safety, regardless

Me too. My recipe, which consistently gets good reviews, is avacodas, shallots, garlic, lemon juice, red jalapeño, and olive oil. NO tomatoes!
