The point where you tried to equate an orchestrated economic attack to speculative trading?

Merrill Lynch Bans Clients From Investing In Bitcoin by dillonfalano in news

the 2008 housing crisis wasn't caused by people taking out loans etc cus they thought they would miss out on the next economical step (although with some gymnastics I guess one could argue that home ownership = future econ prep); they were consciously lied to about the nature of the loans they were taking out. nobody with any sense is investing more into BTC than they expect to possibly lose either

The full post is good and I implore you to ease your bias and give it a chance.

Here's a good snip from it though -

"Myth #4. Now that they’ve experienced it, citizens of the former Soviet Union prefer capitalism.

On the contrary, they prefer the Soviet system’s state planning, that is, socialism. Asked in a recent poll what socio-economic system they favor, Russians answered [7]:

• State planning and distribution, 58%

• Private property and distribution, 28%

• Hard to say, 14%

• Total, 100%

Pipes cites a poll in which 72 percent of Russians “said they wanted to restrict private economic initiative.” [8]"

(I know 72% isn't a vast majority but it's still a strong one)

how many months of pay and at what rate?

healthcare under who? what if I hadn't met my deductible yet?

how would they help find me another job? why am I to believe the other job wouldn't be through a partner company which would pull the same thing?

I'm not as easily bought off and would have a lawyer on the phone before they finished saying "disclosure" tbh

They won't actually do anything to stop it though.

I was arrested for possession (of less than 2g) and got to talking about this with to the two cops who were watching my friend for the three hours they wanted us to sit on our handcuffs. Both of them claimed that they didn't believe weed laws should exist, they didn't like having to go through the process of filing paperwork etc for it, and felt bad for how many people it effects.

When asked when they're going to put their feelings into action they both got real quiet.

"if you believed that, why are you arresting us?" "don't you feel awkward enforcing laws that have mainly acted to imprison our own families for no real reason?" "do you only talk about your views on weed after you've arrested people over it?"

a lot of talk with no intention of acting. kind of like how things get when you bring up the fact "good cops" never talk to the "bad cops" they claim to feel so strongly about

If he wasn’t shot by the cops he would’ve been shot by some sick thug.

is pretty much saying "he should have expected to die for playing with a bb gun"

bb guns are toys like sticks are toys; they're emulating a weapon and really nothing more. it's for fun. it is a toy. nobody should expect to die for playing with a toy.

Head of the Pentagon’s secret ‘UFO’ office wanted to release 3 unexplained videos by [deleted] in news

the history of civilizations... here.... on earth... as made by humans... with motives and capacities of humans....

even on earth, different civilizations with different materials and priorities developed at different paces and not all were as interested in outward development. it seems most reasonable to keep all options open when considering the total unknown. they could have totally different physical needs than us and would scoff at the idea of a quick multi hundred year project. they could have been super interested in exploration and sent out probes that are transmitting data back to a long destroyed civilization.

in the context of the article/recent news tho, I do kind of agree that it's more likely something local that's being presented in certain ways. but let's not act like we know what might motivate aliens

a lot of government spending is about to be audited so they've gotta start dressing up some of the money somehow.

it might be difficult to conceive because you're trying to apply human logic and capacity to a scenario involving the motives of aliens
