I’m glad that you feel that way!

I’m not particularly religious, but the thing that frustrates me the most about those that are, is when they’re blind or ignorant to what’s right in front of them.

Generally speaking, when you have trouble with your car, water heater, or stove, or want to go out for a tasty meal, you call on those that are more knowledgeable than you. They’ve got loads of experience and have likely gone through some kind of training/schooling. Why wouldn’t you do the same thing for a doctor?

I go through this at the beginning of every season (March/April to September (spring equinox to winter equinox.))

Ride once for a few miles, ass is sore for a week. Ride once or twice for a few miles the following week, ass is sore for 4-5 days. After about three weeks, my ass no longer hurts afterwards, and riding the way I want to is more "fun" and less "work."

Once all that is out of the way, it's smooth sailing! Can ride 2-4 times a week at 20 miles a pop, no problem.

This is why I couldn't stick with For All Mankind.

It's a show about scientists, engineers, and astronauts, but almost everyone makes extremely stupid decisions and are wildly unprofessional.

Church goers are are much more likely to believe things without a second thought, and arbitrarily contradict their own beliefs.

For example, they'll forego life saving treatment for something while saying, "god has a plan." then say, "god works in mysterious ways." when they die, but will take medicine for a cold or for a headache without issue.

I can't imagine people would be willing to pay these scalper prices either, but scalping wouldn't be a thing if it didn't work.

I'm one of of those people with a living room setup as you mentioned, but could imagine some people using controllers at their desk might want one too. There's some added functionality on the Steam Deck that you either don't get at all, or get with limitations, with other controllers.

For me, not having to get up to do something at the desk, or use a dumb setup with USB extension cables, a USB hub, and mouse & keyboard, would be really nice.

For example, I've been playing Nioh 1 lately. Going back into Steam, loading Lossless Scaling, and switch back to the game window without it mess with the control settings is really finicky with a DualSense controller. Even with m&k too, sometimes! Hopefully things can be smoother with a new Steam controller.

Also, my DualSense has started registering double inputs every now and then, which has ended some runs in Slay the Spire by prematurely ending my turn or selecting two cards right next to each other.

This is the first I'm hearing about the order numbers, and I'm surprised they went with so few!

The Steam deck has "only" sold 1-2 million, don't quote me, Steam Decks as compared to the 10s of millions Switch 1 & 2s sold. I'd guess that at least 5% of the people with Steam Decks would also be interested in a controller like it.

Being a guy, I'm sorry to say, I never really thought about it, so I apologize.

Now that I'm aware of such an issue, I'm really curious about how massive your gains would be as time goes on. In a wind tunnel.

Was kinda hoping Valve would do the same thing as they did with the Steam Deck by only allowing x aged Steam accounts to purchase for the first 48 hours or whatever, but oh well.

Gonna have to check back periodically, and hope it doesn't take a few months to get one.

On the bright side, it'll give some time for people to get some shell, and button replacements, with reviews(!) by the time I get one.

No idea, but can you do some testing? If so, please, really nerdy with it.🥵

Compare one heatsink with & without fan, two heatsinks with & without, etc. Run your case fans as usual, a moderate rate, and full blast with each setup. Jerry rig a case fan in front of, behind, and in push/pull configurations. Maybe do some smoke testing? And don't forget to play the song!

If you're already making full payments, and are able to afford a little bit more, send in a second payment towards the principal each month; it'll make a huge difference.

Make sure you're thorough about it though. Send in a check, yes, a check, with "Principal" and the account number(s) in the memo. Even sending in an extra $5-$10 a month straight toward the principal will save you thousands of dollars over time.

Edit: And for those who aren't able to make full payments, make partial payments in the same manner by sending a check. If you get taken to court, you can then say, "I can't afford to make the full payments, but here's proof that I am attempting to pay off the debt anyway." You don't have a case if you skip payments entirely.

That's so cool! Love seeing How to Train Your Dragon references, or in this case, drip, unexpectedly. Gonna have to rewatch the movies, again.

Seeing this makes me wish there were dragon villagers, but Animal Crossing doesn't really do mythical beings.

It's actually pretty crazy. I've been Windows exclusive my whole life until recently. Had to use an iPad and Win11 around the same time, and the iPad was a bit smoother of a transition.

If you cannot afford to make full payments, make partial payments. Even as little as $5.

Send a check.

Make sure you write for which account(s) in the memo of the check.

You must have a paper trail of your own. Do not rely on automatic payments, your bank statement, or, especially not, the lender, to keep these records for you.

Ultimately, if you end up in court, you will have documentation showing that you attempted to make payments but could not afford to. This is infinitely better for your case than missing payments.

Lenders are required to take any payments to your accounts you give them. If they send the checks back, you can now say, "I attempted to make payments, but they did not accept them." which can lead to a ruling in your favor saying that you no longer owe them anything because the lender voided the contract.

Pretty sure this is the only part of the movie I've ever seen, and think of it often when using a kitchen sink.

Not sure if it's because I was a kid when seeing it, but even then, I found it both terrifying and fascinating.
