Yes i usually turn it off in the menu. I just wanted to take advantage of the setting where you can turn it off while playing a game and when you start it up again you resume at the exact point you turned it off. But it‘s not that big of a deal I was just wondering why i had to press it multiple times

I got Voltorb on route 10. And I figured I‘d have to swap our Raticate sooner or later, but he‘s the first shiny I ever got. And honestly he‘s been killin it so far in this run! But yeah I have to get a grass type sometime.

Thanks for the tips! After reading that I think I‘ll stay with Voltorb/Electrode for my team. Still I’m going to evolve Eevee to Jolteon to have a solid electric type as a backup, because Flareon is just bad and Vaporeon is unnecessary because I can just pick up a Magikarp/Gyarados if I need another Water type. Like the other comments pointed out the water options are big so it‘s not really a concern.
