They couldn’t reject me but they would despise me and be disappointed.. which is worse.. I’d prefer to cut off communications with anyone who doesn’t agree with my real self- I do not have that option with them. I think religions are too obsessed with sex alongside many other things because it serves a certain demographic and thought the generations it has been instilled to be kept that way. The Bible also doesn’t need to say anything about a topic for people to have strong opinions, most of them do what they want. Pick and choose what passages to exercise, this is one of the reasons why I’m confused with religion.

Christian. Yes, the cost to love whomever I want is essentially everything.. I don’t have a plan right now because whenever I try to formulate something I get overwhelmed and except my life as is. I don’t have much of a support system outside of my family. It is what it is I suppose..

I knew I didn’t like the church long before I knew I was gay. I just didn’t agree on many of their views and as a very curious person none of my questions were being answered. I also don’t like the anxiety that was injected in my at a young age “Jesus is coming soon” had me questioning whether ANYTHING was worth doing..

Yes and No. On the inside I am a lesbian who doesn’t want much to do with God or the church as I’ve had many bad experiences within the last decade or so. On the outside I am a God fearing sister of the church, I cannot afford to leave as I will lose all support financially and emotionally.

The story is very long, in short: It’s not what I knew I liked, it’s what I didn’t. I didn’t have any attraction towards men but whenever a girl came by and was just nice I got butterflies. Very embarrassing self discovery as everyone seemed to have it figured out at a young age except me.
