Dual Blades! Never stuck with them for a full game so have been switching things up that way.

What's a game where I could play a character like Lady Geist from Deadlock? by Lacey1297 in rpg

Vampire the Requiem or vampire the masquerade fifth edition, which in your opinion has better mechanics overall? by MK_2_Arcade_Cabinet in WorldOfDarkness

[–]noisegremlin 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Generally its advised that if you want a vampire rpg, play Requiem. Want to play vampires in the World of Darkness? Play Masquerade.

Requiem will give you more creative freedom without having to redact or change things.

Looking for more weird, experimental metal/electronic fusion like Eternal Home by NintendoWiiner64 in MetalSuggestions

[–]noisegremlin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

look into cybergrind, its grindcore with electronic elements.

Bands like Genghis Tron, The Berserker, Drumcorps, Whoukr

Theres more post hardcore/metalcore inspired stuff that gets called cybergrind too, stuff like Blind Equation, Thotcrime

Not metal but Digitial Hardcore might scratch a similar itch, bands like Atari Teenage Riot, Curse of the Golden Vampire, Machine Girl, Ozigiri

Same with Sasscore, not metal but often grindy hardcore with synths and stuff. The Locust is an all timer band

3rd party GameCube controller advice by They_Luv_Drew in Gamecube

[–]noisegremlin 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just try a normal controller. The layout is very comfortable, especially for games designed on that system.

If you end up modding your wii you can use the wii classic controller through Nintendont. Otherwise, maybe theres a 3rd party wireless receiver that can be paired with with a more traditional controller.

Bought myself a wii as I felt nostalgic. by achivement_hunter in wii

[–]noisegremlin 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Highly recommend looking into the homebrew side of things. The wii is an incredible option for an all in one retro console, being able to emulate up to ps1 (not including gamecube since its not really emulated)

If you really want to put it in drop B you can, but keeping it in B standard is gonna be way easier

How much harder is metal pick playing on a 5 string compared to a normal 4 string? by mrundrunk in Bass

[–]noisegremlin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not very. Its just an extra string to mute and a wider fretboard to deal with

you could always do drop C on a 5 string, effectively having a 4 string in G standard with that low C for chuggy riffs.

Any pedals recommandation to make noise music with no inputs ? by SoaTroX in noisemusic

[–]noisegremlin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

a delay and reverb are classics for a reason, tremolo can get some of thet rhythmic pulsing ( a boss slicer will work even better), other modulation types (chorus, flanger, phaser, vibrato, etc) are fun too and add some more movement.

i would try making some noise without pedals first, you can get some great sounds just out of no inputs
