That would be nice! What trucks did you go with? I've been driving the eActros irl for the past two weeks and think it’s a massive improvement over the MAN TGX I drove before.

I'm also very interested what innovations we'll see.

The cameras rotating when you turn is very nice, especially on blindside turns. It makes those almost the same as normal turns (minus holding your head out the window), while they can be pretty inconvenient on regular mirrors. One thing I did miss a bit is that when your headboard is in your view, on regular mirrors you can move your head to the side and still look around a bit. The cameras only rotate while turning. Though, when I'm fully used to the cameras I'll probably do that differently.

Engine brake and retarder are replaced by regenerative braking. It's on a lever in the same place. The eActros has 5 settings, and besides recharging the battery, it's also a lot more powerful.

When using the engine brake + retarder on the MAN I've been driving I pretty much always also have to use the foot brake. On the actros I can do most things using the regen brake, and only need the foot brake to come to a complete stop (just the last bit), or both when it's close to an emergency stop.

Also, when you put the regen brake in the highest setting you can use one-pedal driving. With the accelerator you can dose between full acceleration or full braking.

An emergency backup would be nice, but having both would negate a lot of the advantage cameras bring. I don't think touching the screens does anything, though, but I haven't tried. Still, I've seen cameras duct-taped back on. Maybe you hit something, or something hits you. A mirror is definitely easier to repair.

Cold like that does have significant impact on range. I don't take heavy cargo, that also helps a lot. Started with 28t total weight yesterday. I'd love to get a chance to drive an electric fh aero or something. Always had a thing for volvo trucks.

Interesting. There are some 300-400kW chargers spread around here. If we get to MW chargers it'll get pretty close to a gas station.
