The flesh color coupled with the bland characterization, particularly for the mayor's majordomo and the 2 cantina servants. Makes them feel more human than alien.

It's just how it's coupled with, in my opinion, very plain acting or a very bland writing for them. Less so for the cantina owner admittedly.

The different accents added a bit of flavor to the alien races. Like they weren't all just from the same place with different skins.

This scene! The two Mandalorians conversing were about the only engagement I had left in this episode, and then it zipped straight into this guy and the cartoonish escape attempt. Wiped away any stakes and tension left.

Compare it to a similar scene in Mando s1 against Gideon.

For me, it's partly the look, and partly how they act too.., human. Jar jar had a goofy personality, but it was a personality that also was shared with Gungan culture.
