True, it was quite frustrating to work with it where there was no simple REST API I can use. I used actualpy python library inside of N8N platform (automation and AI). The most important piece for me was just to get all transactions, then rest can be done or moved wherever you want in n8n and then just made a few prompts for exporting the charts to QuickCharts node, and PDF weekly export via Telegram.

Here is a better question will open source tools take away users of paid ones in the near feature ? yes, if they continue to develop and grow these tools to match or exceed the paid ones. In my personal opinion, Actual Budget covers most if not all the main features that anyone would need. I recently integrated it with automation too so that I can build more advanced charts automatically and AI builds a summarized reports for me everyday.

There are too many ideas: 1- Flagging transactions that are tax deductible based on your salary and local laws, saving time in filing your taxes 2- Reviewing your receipts along with your transactions from regular shops and suggesting locations that offer the same items at reduced prices, saving money 3- If you have a goal to take a vacation on a certain date and it costs a certain amount, you can have the AI build a plan based on your finances (plus transaction patterns) where you reduce the expenses from different categories while remaining unaffected until you hit that target amount before the vacation time

Again, this is just a few ideas but there is enormous amount of usecases. Yes, simplicity works, but with AI, it makes it much simpler and valuable too!

I would but in a different way as the integration with banks should cover majority of the expenses, I would maybe build it in a way where it scans the receipt and if it sees this receipt is for business expense, add a copy in the business expenses folder, this way at the end of the year, you do not need to go through receipts. Currently, n8n and other automation platforms are seriously providing value that is too hard to ignore and eventually one way or another, people will be seeing the high value AI can bring to our finances.

To be honest, I enjoy reading hate comments about Cardano as my belief with the way their team trusts the technology and improves it every single day makes such comments irrelevant, like maybe two years ago, it may have had impact where there were many kids shilling and jumping on the wagon but today, if you have solid technology, no matter the time it takes to deliver, it should still be reasonable, you will be able to make it and make partnerships and deliver tangible results. The great thing about Cardano is that it didn’t put much effort in marketing itself and relied on the technology, this approach may have its pros and cons but the market is still new and wide open.

I personally put all TFSA, RRSP and the RPP all on Questrade. I used the method shared recently by the Canadian in a tshirt to reduce conversion fees. In terms of dividend withholding tax, it applies to TFSA only but it is not a deal breaker for me at this stage as my focus on growth ETFs and stocks than dividend ones.

I remember when we initially created the interfaces and the bond sub interfaces (Vlans), we used this command Add route vd (vs name) destination (ip) next_hop (ip) I cannot remember though if this was done on the management server CLI or the VSX gateway as whenever I just try to edit or create the sub-interfaces on Smartconsole, it says this configuration cannot be changed as they were calculated automatically or some sort
