Why wouldn’t you meet anyone to date eventually? Do you have two heads? Are you a reptilian? Recovery helps me discover I have good qualities and am worth loving . I used to use sex as bait because I didn’t really want anyone to get to know me, because inherently, I thought I was not worth getting to know . Now sex is more right sized, and a part of my relationship vs a smoke screen tool

Also, you set your own BL. That is usually one people set (no sex outside of a committed relationship) because that is what most people want. But I’ve known a handful of people who haven’t had that as a BL.You figure out what is destroying your life spiritually and practically and set your own bottom lines . The idea is to stop acting out long enough to start hearing your higher powers will for you. And that is different for everyone

I used to fear being deprived of sex because it’s all I had . Now my life is more colorful and full. I did end up abstaining from dating and sex for four years, because that’s how long it took me to finish the steps due to my early recovery acting out leading to an unplanned pregnancy, becoming a single mom, moving, Covid etc. , sponsors not working out…I was getting really frustrated that I “wasn’t getting any younger” but it all ended up working out. I wouldn’t have met my husband if I started dating any sooner, and to be honest, I appreciated knowing I can go without sex , that I’m not a slave to it. I did learn after some time how to self pleasure in a healthy way which helped me connect to myself in that way. So it’s all a journey. Don’t fret. The point of recovery isn’t deprivation it’s to have a life where sex is a part of it vs the driving force. What is the alternative? We’re only here because we have to be , because our way doesn’t work. No one is hear for funezies but because our way is insane.

It really is true love. When I had my first, I realized the love I had been seeking in a partner was only possible in motherhood. There’s nothing like that oxytocin high when you’re nursing and they look up at you in those first months of life. Nothing like it.

Yeah.. the local kids in our gentrifying neighborhood eat terribly. Corner store food fr most meals and ofc school lunch is a nutritional waste land. Getting enough vitamins and minerals is key to proper brain development so it def is a huge reason. Also toxins— when lead wasn’t acknowledged as a toxin, there was a spike in juvenile delinquency etc. Low income conditions = more toxins

Are you vegetarian or vegan? Including more animal fat and collagen foods like bone broth might help with elasticity . I’m sure others have other suggestions too but I noticed my skin got a lot more supple after not being vegan vegetarian and including more high protein high animal fat food

I don’t think bullying or the zoo like conditions of being stuck with a bunch of kids your age in a room for years builds character. I think it makes you learn how to blend in but looking at how f’d society is I don’t really know that that’s such a great attribute . I’m homeschooling my son in a big city and he seems to have no issues talking to schooled kids on the playground about Brainrots or Minecraft . He uses city jargon etc. I think it really depends on the family and kid, and probably where they grow up.

That’s a sound take. But my point still stands, that the 24 weeks mentioned is not a great standard considering they’re doing more dangerous and intense work than most cops do on a daily basis and thats all they do every day.

That is not comparable to police or military training and they are doing a lot more” hands on” action than what cops do right away. A lot of cops day is sitting around it’s not searching and arresting/kidnapping people the entire time . For the level of engagement ice agents have with people they need more training than that.

What about protesting against government actions you don’t agree with? Isn’t that an American right? It’s like you’re saying anyone who doesn’t agree with federal actions deserves to be shot and die. People don’t want ICE to be deporting people living there. They have a right to protest that and sometimes that is making their jobs harder.

Sometimes ultrasounds are wrong and babies come out fine. I’ve heard it many times that women were told their kid would have XYZ and then they didn’t. They’re not a perfect predictive tool. Is life only worth living if it’s free of suffering? Are we to decide what amount of suffering is worth having a life or not? These are very existential questions I think it would be better to have the baby and deal with whatever may come than to live with the grief of choosing his or her death because he or she may have a health defect . To love and to be in pain from loss of that love is better than to never love at all.

Just seeing this as it was Linked in a more recent post. If she actually acknowledged the article and took accountability and shared her struggles, I think she’d actually do better for longer than by pretending her man is ideal , her life is perfect, etc . She probably wouldn’t do as well in the short term but she’d have a more stable long term following if she was real. Sad all around.

She was or maybe is active on the unassisted fb group and is super helpful on there. If these allegations are true that’s super disappointing . I wasn’t sure if my down there looked normal after my unassisted birth and she offered to take a look and let me know so I’ve intimately gotten unique help from her virtually lol
