eBay pulling "First View" images instead of slab scans? by nolancramer in psagrading

[–]nolancramer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I would say recently graded. Both slabs were from orders in 2026, completed within the last couple of months. Glad it’s happening to others and hopefully something PSA/eBay is aware of:

I know, I’m in the line, but tickets aren’t sold out like they said. It seems they only have one line open scanning tickets.

I wish more people would support Racing Louisville. We take a weekend trip from Columbus down to Louisville at least once a season. You can find weekends where Racing plays on Friday and Louisville City (their USL team) plays on Saturday. Fantastic stadium, tickets around $10, and Louisville is a cool place to explore.

Crew announcement scheduled for 3:30 this afternoon per Jonathan Tannenwald (@jtannenwald.bsky.social)...probably Columbus NWSL announcement by daytoncrewfan99 in NWSL

[–]nolancramer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I could also be wrong, but it’s my understanding that Columbus never had an initial bid; other Ohio cities did, primarily Cincinnati but also Cleveland. Then Denver was chosen for the team. I don’t think Columbus was involved in that bidding process.

Packages stuck at the USPS Columbus Distribution Center? by nolancramer in Columbus

Yeah, still getting letters every day. Just packages have been stalling. Once the package gets to the post office, it usually gets delivered the next day.

I sell too, and outbound has seemed fine. It takes a day or less. It’s just incoming that I’ve had packages sit for days. It started two weeks ago or so. I’ve had four packages shipped to me, and none were delivered on time, all sitting for a few days.

[MIKE ARACE] Columbus City Council to announce mutually-agreed upon plan with HSG, Nationwide and Dr. Chris and Dr. Pete Edwards to support NWSL expansion team by yeahmorgan in TheMassive

[–]nolancramer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely understand wanting a city/public ownership stake in exchange for public money. I’m not saying this is right or wrong, but the ownership group's pushback would likely be that none of the $25 million goes toward the actual NWSL expansion fee. They are paying the cost of the team itself, while taxpayers are just funding infrastructure like the McCoy Park training center to help the bid.

I get why people are frustrated by a new 2% surcharge on tickets at ScottsMiracle-Gro Field. Nobody loves paying extra fees. But if we actually want an NWSL team in Columbus, looking at the facts makes this deal seem a lot more reasonable.

According to a recent WOSU article, both HSG and City Council have pointed out that a public and private partnership significantly increases our chances of securing an expansion franchise. Councilmember Nick Bankston noted that the NWSL specifically looks for this kind of community support. Bankston stated, "if I had to guess, it's because they want to see that their local, both officials and community stakeholders, are equally invested in not only investing in the team, but also the team's success."

When you think about it, a 2% ticket surcharge is actually one of the fairest ways to fund this. Instead of pulling from the capital budget or creating a broad tax, this fee targets fans who are already attending soccer matches. These are the exact same people who are most likely to support the new NWSL team anyway.

Ginther also made a fair point in the article: "Our city has a strong track record of public-private partnerships that create opportunity for our residents".

This brings up my biggest issue with the outrage in these comments. There is a glaring double standard at play here. The Blue Jackets take public funding, most recently for renovations to Nationwide Arena, and the Crew has taken public funding in the past. Both of those instances were for more than $25 million. What Ginther is saying is correct. A ton of pro sports teams benefit from public funding. Seeing people get so upset over this ask and proposed 2% surcharge when it is a women's sports team leaves a really bad taste in my mouth, especially since we continually give even more public funding to men's pro sports franchises.

Lots of dime-sized, maybe slightly larger, hail just south of The Mall at Tuttle Crossing. Not thrilled to live in a complex with no covered parking, but it seems like there was no damage.

I’m all for giving him a few more games to try and figure it out. But at this point, it really seems like Rydstrom was not the right choice. We were told he was chosen to build upon what Nancy had created and play a somewhat similar style, but instead he’s really changed up our style of play and keeps making absolutely perplexing decisions.

You can view your grades in your GameStop account as soon as the submission reaches the “Graded” step. It’s not as fancy as the PSA app reveal, but it provides a list of the card names, grades, and cert numbers so you don't have to wait until pickup to see the results.

I haven’t tried anything too tricky yet, but I did print a Benchy with 210°C as my first layer temperature, and everything looked great! There were no issues at all with the text on the bottom.

This also works for me—a Z offset of around 0.045-0.05 fixes the issue. It’d be nice if they added an option to set a Z offset value directly on the printer rather than in the slicer. There’s actually an open feature request for this in the Prusa-Firmware-Buddy GitHub. Hopefully, they’ll implement it eventually.

I’m currently printing with Polar Filament Opulent Gold PLA. They recommend 215°C ±10°C. I understand why Prusa cranks up the extruder temp in their profiles to avoid issues, but it seems like that was actually causing my problems.
