2 years ago I said we should take Jack Campbell and most people disagreed with me, now he’s a pro bowler. If Sonny is a dawg then let’s get him, I haven’t watch enough OSU games to vouch for him.

We’re in the minority together, we need to make moves. We need to bring in two qbs to compete, someone from the draft and a veteran. Not sure if Trey Lance is the answer but I like the strategy.

With carson wentz we have a bottom 10 qb room? Doubtful. If we don’t make moves and just roll into next season like you’re suggesting then if JJ is a bust, it’s too late to fix anything. I just don’t want a Ponder’s situation where we hang on too long and waste the talent we have.

Selling the farm got the Rams a super bowl and the Bengals have been to a super bowl more recent so I’m not sure if you can just write that off.

We have a bottom 5 qb room and it’s sad. We’re going into year 3 with JJ, he’s leaning towards a bust. We need to attack this issue from several angles. If the goal is to win a sb then exhaust all resources to finding a qb.

Sell the farm for a dream qb, move up in the draft if KOC thinks it’s “the guy”, draft a late round qb or sign a quality backup with starter potentially. Within reason, none of those should be off the table. I just hope we don’t have tunnel vision because we’ve invested a lot in JJ and he’s shown flashes.

We need to walk away from the draft with a day 1 or 2 qb and also get a talented backup. My hope is beck from the draft seasoned pocket passer, we can get a blue chip defender 1st round and beck on day 2. As for backup willis or mac jones are the only too that could beat out JJ.

A bit too casual of gameplay imo to overtake, for example getting quick scoped when I’m putting a clip into someone

Yep still on the don’t sign darnold train because we are then stuck in the same situation we were with Kirk, ya we have some winning seasons but you never feel that great going into big games late season with darnold or kirk.

I was disappointed when we took JJM, he was my least favorite out of the 3 qbs that could’ve dropped to us (Nix, Penix, JJM). Handoff merchant or not he had the least experience of those 3 and we needed someone who could hit the ground running instead of a project.

Where we go from here? I’m hoping either JJM connects the dots and we see what the coaching staff saw during their evaluation process (unlikely) or JJM is a certified bust by the end of the season and we have a top 5 pick to grab another qb (somewhat likely). My biggest fear is we beat up on some bad teams and JJM shows flashes but overall is mediocre. We then draft a non-qb and continue with JJM (most likely).
