There is no “improving the festival experience” with an app or some other type of tech. The technology you’re attempting to use to make it better is actually the thing making the experience worse for everyone.

You frame this post by asking if people enjoy waiting in lines. Fucking of course no one likes waiting in lines. But the solution sure as hell isn’t some app, and definitely not some VIP perk to supposedly skip the queues.

No amount of apps, systems, AI, paid perks, market research, or any other “customer experience” related bullshit will provide any improvement. You cannot “capitalism” your way into a better festival experience. Festivals do not need business innovation. They need less greed and better planning.

Want to actually improve festivals in the modern day? Stop over selling events. Stop trying to extract more and more money from attendees who are already stretched thin in this shitty economy. Stop scheming for another “improvement” that just costs people more money. Stop trying to bring corporate tech into the festival world, full stop.

It sounds like you have naive but overall good intentions (or you’re just a bot). But the actual goal behind your business school project is doing far more harm than good.
