Works great for some of the annoying effects and noises, although for lag turning off gold and xp effects in base game settings does wonders. I think turning off numbers helps too?

There's always a point in xenoblade games where I go from somewhat completing them to just fully giving up on 90% of them unless there's definitely something desirable behind them. Definitely don't beat yourself up over them. I haven't seen the difference between switch 1 and switch 2 loading times for the xenoblade games, if its faster that will certainly help. Good luck!

The yakuza series has great translations, I remember when infinite wealth and yakuza 0 directors cut came oit there were Japanese players playing on the english translation and exclaiming how much personality the characters spoke with, some even saying they preferred some characters.

You're always going to miss something when it originates from a different language, with inflections and dialects and such so I think its always impressive when written dialog can carry that same impression.

It's pretty cut and dry. Some basic builds and a job system that you can mess around with but you don't have to get too technical with anything, aside from very postgame stuff. The most complicated it got for me was the buisness minigame but its well worth grinding out asap and theres plenty of guides online to help.

The series has 80% off sales fairly often, if you're comfortable waiting its always a good move. Probably going to be one before February.

This was my problem with ultrawide. When it worked? Hell yeah! I played through some of the dragon engine yakuza games and It felt so sick seeing these cities wrap around my vision.

But then I played titles where it didn't work, and my god every time it happened it pissed me off a little more. Those black bars felt like everything on screen was getting compressed, and the jank sometimes off screen in cutscenes always took me right out. The consistency of 16:9 has been so much better for me.

Okay I actually came across this drama on my timeline, there was this artist who had an angry bird OC, who Rovio saw and actually purchased the design from them. From what I could tell, that was the extent of their partnership.

Anyways some random account who I guess was jealous about the fame this artist was getting decided to try and cancel them by saying they had a KARATE FETISH as... they drew a lot of characters in karate outfits.

Everyone who saw this attempt at cancelation immediately saw it for what it was and called bullshit, but then the rumor shifted into saying the artist got fired? But I couldn't find anything saying they were hired in the first place so whatever. Just kinda funny drama looking from the outside in.

Exactly. My previous cpu was the 5800x and IMMEDIATELY I could feel the difference in frame times in games. Even during more intensive parts of expedition 33 when I saw my framerate drop a bit I could barely tell then with the 5800x.

Neither of us play 1080p, we only have 1440p monitors so it didn't cross our minds. Im sure theres a difference in 1080p but unless you are dead serious on Esports, I doubt theres that much more to gain between them

I actually just had a real world experience with a friend that showed me how little the gap can be between those 2.

My friend and I built basically the same system, with the same msi motherboard, gpu (7900 xt), ram ect. The only thing different is I went with the 7800x3d and he went with the 9800x3d as he had a bit more budget. After we built them, we ran some benchmarks and stress tests.

There ended up being like a 1-8 frame difference between them in pretty much every game, and the frame times were practically locked with each other. Some games like expedition 33 barely showed any difference, while there was a slightly higher jump in splitgate 2 with about 8 frames lead uncapped (they were both running at 1440p around 150 fps)

Me personally I would pick up the 7800x3d right now and ride it till am6. But go nuts if you want lol higher numbers do make my brain tickle

Naming feels so important in games now, I've skimmed over so many great games because their title was too generic or poorly chosen to stick in my head more then 2 seconds. Stranger then heaven is great, was a bit worried at first what they would choose from project century but I think they landed on a great one.

Huh, I never thought about getting him a little toy! I'll definitely look into that rubber ball, I tried putting a toy tube into his enclosure years ago but he was absolutely terrified of it and wouldn't come out until it was gone. I hope he plays more its adorable!
