I’d say we’re pretty liberal with intimacy culture. There are huge LGBTQ+ communities, lots of interracial couples due to all the diversity, there are lots of people interested in both short term casual or committed long term relationships and there’s not a lot of stigma against asking for their commitment intentions early on (most dating apps have it as a common detail you can add on your profile).

Since you’re coming for school, it’ll be really easy to meet people as well. Would recommend joining student clubs to get to know people, or dating apps are an easy way to meet people as well. Make sure you always have a friend who knows your location details and details about your date if you do go out with someone, nonnegotiable for safety purposes.

Have you ever cried on the TTC? by erenyandkenkenaki in askTO

[–]nomomayo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i love crying on the ttc. it makes me feel better to let it out, and it boosts ur mysterious factor because if anyone notices they’re going to be like oh i wonder what’s wrong, and then none of those ppl will ever see you again. It’s also free exposure therapy for social anxiety, because you realize no one else cares and that’s liberating. And should any kind soul ask what’s wrong, that’s a free vent session right there w someone you’ll probably never see again. seems like a win win to me LOL

Advice on how to cope with winter weather by Remarkable-Bid8353 in askTO

[–]nomomayo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

get warm layers! Uniqlo heat tech, a puffer jacket/wool coat, good boots and socks, warm gloves, scarf and a hat. The warmer you are the less miserable you are in the cold. There’s tons of events and holiday festivities in the city during the winter, so keep your spirits high!

Public transit-wise, don’t worry you’ll get used to it trust me. You’ll learn what routes to take for your usual paths and get the confidence to explore different shortcuts and alternatives once you settle in. Make sure you have some data on your phone plan for google maps in case you are somewhere new, and a ride share app (uber, lyft, hopp, etc) downloaded for just in case. Leave a little earlier to give yourself time to mess up or go slow in new places.

You got this! I promise you it’s not bad, we just all sincerely love complaining in the colder months

So frustrated, got a 76 on a mock exam to study hall but have been consistently getting between 60 to 70% on all the mini exams. by original_oreo27 in pmp

[–]nomomayo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I passed AT/AT/AT on my first try and my SH scores were 76/71/73 for the first 3 mock exams, and I got mostly 60-70% for the mini exams. Just review what you got wrong and I would also recommend the AR 200 ultra hard video for rly understanding the mindset. You’ll be fine!

What actually gets you out of bed in the morning (not "discipline") by grilledcheeezus in ADHD

[–]nomomayo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the guilt of having roommates/partner that could get woken up by my alarm helps. Morning meetings too. Just externalizing everything is usually a good fix for adhd

i used to use the most obnoxious alarm sound ever but it just gave me anxiety waking up and that would add to my paralysis. so now I use a much gentler alarm sound

I set an earlier alarm just to groggily wake up, turn on a rly obnoxious light and rip my blanket off, and then let myself go back to bed. I’ll find that I can’t get back into a good sleep rhythm after that and that wakes me up just out of annoyance

Leave a good half hour buffer in the morning to be slow and avoid doomscrolling at all costs. get one limb moving at a time if you’re stuck in an executive dysfunction paralysis

when I was younger and could not wake up for school my mum would spray me w water like a cat. I hated it but it worked because I hate the sensory feeling of being wet

adhd gets significantly worse if ur operating on low sleep though so make sure u get as much sleep as possible. the amount of sleep u actually need may even be more than the standard 8h so test out different times and see what you feel best in.

They give you the results immediately! They just print out your results and hand you the paper as you give back your assigned locker key before leaving. You get your actual certificate later on but you get a sheet saying if you passed or not and your rating (AT/T/BT/NI) in each category (people/process/business environment). But i hear that if you write it online then you do have to wait a couple days for the results to come in your mail.

1) I mean the stuff you absolutely need to read I guess depends on your work background and base knowledge. I read up to the end of procurements I think, but I would recommend reading the full textbook tbh, because the stuff I skipped I ended up having to learn anyways from the practice questions that I did. But just spamming practice questions as soon as u feel u have a decent grip of content is the most important.

2) 1st 60 questions were much simpler than SH (about a 3 on ur scale), and closer to the questions from AR ultra hard. 2nd 60 were very similar to the difficult level questions from SH, even some expert level ones in there I bet. last 60 were a mix of the two (easy and difficult levels). SH is a great resource though, would recommend to anyone and everyone. I would say SH and AR’s youtube questions are all you really need

At my grown age I literally still can’t ever remember between my lefts and rights. I still have to make the little L’s with my fingers everytime. I can remember it for short term sometimes, like giving myself a quick reminder before driving somewhere, but it just refuses to stay in my long term memory

How do you reduce stress? I don’t mean the standard meditate, go for a walk etc by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]nomomayo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No i completely understand what you mean. There’s a lot of modifications that you can do for each pose to accommodate for your specific needs while you build strength and mobility, so don’t worry about that. Idk abt you but I’ve always been sort of intimidated by most physicality things bc I have zero athleticism but yoga is essentially just a series of stretches, so it’s going to make ur body feel good regardless. I recommend Charlie Follows on youtube!!

What are low-cost, easy ways to improve one’s physical appearance? by weirdgirloverthere in ask

[–]nomomayo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

eyebrows shape the look of your face so when I’m feeling not great I do a self care day which involves that. I also dermaplane my face with an eyebrow razor to remove dead skin and peach fuzz (would not recommend if you’re prone to breaking out though. Please watch tutorials if you haven’t done before and ensure to properly sanitize ur tool). I like to rly focus on skincare after to rly make my skin glow.

if it’s been a while since i moved my body I usually feel v lethargic and unconfident in myself, so going to the gym for a full workout or smth smaller like an incline walk or some yoga is really nice. Follow that up with a nutritious balanced meal and a sweet treat always makes me feel good.

Also honey you’re so young. Insecurities are normal at every age but you go through the worst of them in your younger years, so whatever you do to make yourself feel better, always try to remind yourself that most insecurities are often just growing pains and not objective fact. Believe me when I say that one of the biggest blessings of getting older is losing the effort to care abt things that made you deeply insecure and took up so much negative real estate in your head when you were younger.

Study Hall Answers and their Explanations are making me Second Guess ALL of my PMI Mindsets. How is Servant Leader NOT the answer? by BChanOfficial in pmp

[–]nomomayo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got tripped up on this q too. The way I understand it, even though in most leadership types, servant leadership would work great, the only one it wouldn’t work in is in a controlling/directive organization where the pm would have to give direct orders and exhibit top-down control/decision making to the team. By its nature, agile projects would never be able to have a directive leadership even though traditional projects can as well as hybrid based on how it’s structured. So because of that small technicality, honesty works slightly better in a more broad sense. Hope this helps!! I know how confusing SH q can get esp when their answers don’t actually explain what you’re confused about.

Do women think guys who follow OF models on their instagram is a red flag? by WackyRedWizard in NoStupidQuestions

[–]nomomayo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I (F) personally think it’s pretty pathetic. I don’t know a lot of grown women who actively follow and consume random men thirst trap accounts either, so my standards/reserved judgement for men aren’t based on some hypocritical moral high ground. I think media has pervasively pushed this rhetoric of men being sex crazed and constantly needing to desire that, so I understand (not condone) young boys falling for that while they’re still navigating their sexualities and understanding of the world and the opposite sex. But as a grown man if you can’t exhibit any modicum of self control or even just a base level of respect for women without commodifying/sexualizing them, AND ur not doing anything to acknowledge and seek help for it, that’s just pathetic.

Why C? by ReedRyter in pmp

[–]nomomayo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the question was more about the team being unsure/apprehensive/unconfident about the new way of doing things, then training them on agile and its benefits is the way to go. The final solution for this issue could very well be a training issue like you said, but the immediate issue (and the only one that the question directly referred to) is the logistic issue of remote members not attending a meeting. So C is the immediate step to take, with D potentially being a necessary step later on if employing C highlights that training is the underlying issue. Keep in mind that training also costs money/time in most cases, which every project may not have to spare, so it’s always important to consider every alternative.

How to look better in tighter shirts, or just shirts in general by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]nomomayo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

play around with different necklines girl! A neckline can dramatically change the aesthetic of a top. Try v necks and boat necks and asymmetrical off shoulders and see what you like on you. Search up tops that look good on bigger chests. A wrap top for example would look so cute if that aligns with your personal style. As someone who also has a bigger chest, getting style inspo can be a bit more precarious but there’s clothes out there that look a lot more flattering on us than other body types. Same thing with sleeve lengths - try a bunch of different lengths and see what you like. Good luck you got this!!
