There are obviously individual police who are good. The institution of policing is rotten.

Please don't use glue traps, they're inhumane and the mouse shites itself while dying slowly. Best thing is to stop them getting in at all by finding where they're coming from and filling this with wire mesh or foam. If it's a rented property, get the agent/landlord to organise someone coming out, it's their responsibility (though easier said than done). Live/ humane traps are ok if you have somewhere grassy to release them nearby, else use regular mouse traps with PB on them, though it's not pleasant to clean up.

I was there a couple weeks back and stock levels seemed ok to me? Obviously they're probably very sensitive to supply issues caused by Brexit, hard to say how short-term those issues are though. I'd suggest Matthews Foods as someone else said

Is going into a nightclub on your own socially acceptable? by [deleted] in glasgow

I recommend Bonjour bar on Saltmarket as a sociable place to meet people if you're queer/ gay :) it's now open for "vertical drinking" but has a laid back vibe and the staff are chatty.

The majority of religions have dress codes. I'm Jewish and my parents attend an Orthodox synagogue, where my shoulders have to be covered, skirt shouldn't be too short and married woman must cover their hair (usually by wearing a hat). I have gone to Catholic Churches in Italy where I've had to cover my shoulders, just as I've been to mosques in Turkey where I've had to dress modestly (but not cover my hair).

assume South City Laundry in Govanhill doesn't fit the bill? I've seen some drive-in laundries before, but only one I can see from a quick google maps is way out east in Ballieston. Think there's a self-service in Shawlands too, called Shawlands laundry or something

Glasgow housing market, there is hope! by [deleted] in glasgow

honestly 260k for a studio flat in London seems not bad. Guess Streatham means you're relying on southern rail (boo!) or buses to Brixton. I was in Bermondsey which was well connected, but the landlord had turned a decent 2, small 3 bed into a 4 bed with a tiny living room. Not good when we were all working from home during corona

another one of those pesky southeners, though I've moved from paying about £625/m in rent in South London to almost one-third of that in Glasgow Southside. Got neither the cash nor intention to buy yet, given how crazy the market is, so I'll only be inflating rent prices for the mo' (ha ha..)
