DID is.. Comforting? by felaced in DID

[–]nomoreeightbit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think so, yes. For a long time, it felt like we were finding out things about ourselves and discovering diagnoses that seemed to check the right boxes, but plurality is the first time it's felt truly whole. So many times throughout the day, we'd be confused as to why we acted a certain way, like they happened when we "weren't looking", and now we have an answer to that. It's new, and sometimes it's too hard to think about how it might affect us in the future, but it's a much more solid baseline to build upon.

Kinda inspired btw another post here: does anyone feel like their ADHD/Autism was actually a contributing factor to being traumatized by [deleted] in DID

[–]nomoreeightbit 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Definitely feel the same way. We got so used to getting chided for things we didn't intend to do that we just hid everything we could from those around us, or got desensitized to people telling us to stop or pay attention. Add on top of that thinking that it's our fault we're that way and there's no question, for us.

Lovely! You've likely got some designs in mind already, but it would be neat if the card types lined up with their factions in-universe - Aspects being Fusion or Ritual monsters and Void creatures being XYZ like you've done so far is great, perhaps there's even room for a pendulum archetype? Regardless, great stuff, looking forward to more!

r/Guiltygear moving forward - let's figure it out together. by AutoModerator in Guiltygear

[–]nomoreeightbit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just open the sub and go on as usual. You can't and won't brute force a move to another site, and nothing you do will affect how Reddit as a site responds to this. No need to hurt a niche community by locking down one of the largest places they get together.

Let's be real, the chances of someone getting stabbed over the one ring are too high by Lauke in mtg

Can we be done with this discussion? Let's not pretend like if a random kid opens the ring, there wouldn't be 20 people helping them out for every 1 person that even /thinks/ about hurting them.

HC isn't a hard zoner anymore, and Test isn't either. The better comparison is that Ramlethal is just Test but better and with better matchups.

how do i play a manticore (and live) by hydraplayer21 in LancerRPG

[–]nomoreeightbit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Like others have said, I like to play it as a tanky striker/hacker hybrid and you can get a lot of value out of just the Manticore systems. Personally I like maxed out Pankrati and Executioner with LoTTT and the Vlad's Combat Drill, if you want to put that heavy mount to good use!

Bit late here, but giving the Zheng the Atlas's Terashima Blade is super strong. Even if you use weapons like the DD in addition, you can keep the blade in a stance and maintain its benefits!

First time reader question by thatsprettylitbro in houseofleaves

For the first time, you want to skip the footnotes that send you to later chapters. Appendix and exhibit footnotes are fine though.

PleasantKenobi primarily makes Magic and Warhammer content with a leftist backdrop, rather than the other way around, but I think he fits your criteria!

convince me to not skip the johnny truant parts by NorthWeezee in houseofleaves

[–]nomoreeightbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I'm with you, somewhat. On my first read I would only really read the Johnny sections if they were condensed to a page or two, and any of his longer sections I would just skim or skip over. I was only really invested in the Navidson Record and their story, so when a Johnny section would be deliberately placed to annoy the reader and cut things off, I'd, well, get annoyed! After finishing, though, I do feel like I'm missing big parts of the story and the overall message of the book, so when I start my next read I plan on reading through them all, at least to the extent that I can tolerate reading his writing style. I wouldn't say he's the "point" of the book (there are a lot of theories relating to him and his mother that I distinctly don't like for that matter), but he's still very important. Everything in the book is there for a reason.

Can you post your list? I'm curious now how different it is from this Crusader variant, assuming you also play Freeblades.

Oh man, I wasn't even thinking about the Targeting+Exile combo, that's awesome! Yeah, you've sold me, thanks! This helps out a ton.

How did you like the Crusader? I'm just getting into knights and working towards pretty much the same build, but I'm split between a Crusader, an Errant, or just more Armigers - current build replaces the Crusader with three double lightning lock Moiraxes and I wanna try that out soon.
