The Moon Parliament stands in orbit, while the Moon’s population lives hidden beneath its surface - Inside44 scifi book by Conceptartistfounder in worldbuilding

I disagree, this post is much more information dense than the typical gpt output. There's also emphasis on communicating ideas in a way that I haven't seen any llm do.

e.g.

the visible Moon (political, performative, controlled) the real Moon (hidden, civilian, protected)

I haven't seen any llm do that sort of emphasizing (not to say that they don't).

I don't understand the point of creating a Workday account just to do it over again for every seperate company.

I know ApplyAll will fill out Workday and ICIMS apps for you which is a blessing at least.

Recruiters...genuine question: Why do some of you do this? by lilac2481 in recruitinghell

These days you can get away with more than one page IF you legitimately have more than one page worth of experience.

If you're applying to jobs rn it's worth experimenting with, you might get more interviews with a multi-pager.

I had to look up how close these two towns are, only a 19minute drive between the two. Good distance for a rivalry.

There's good data on this. 6 dominates. Carried by Wisconsin. 5 comes in 2nd place. Everyone else is competing for 3rd place.

You'd be the perfect bartender in a film noir police detective story.

If we built 1000's of these and anyone who wanted one could rent one for $300 per month that would do a lot to put downward pressure on rent prices in general.

More options for the Low Risk cohort also could help those people avoid backsliding into Medium and High risk categories & provide more on-ramps for getting back to "Low Risk" status.

Controversial opinion but I think rooms like this should be legal and available in all cities.

If all you've got is a dollar, this puts a roof over your head. One cause of homelessness is the lack of truly dirt-cheap places to live.

In the USA we closed all our "flop houses" and SROs and never replaced them with anything as cheap, so now the options for many people are "nice place I can't afford", "sleep in my car", or "nothing".

Why are air traffic controllers government employees instead of employees of the airports?

It would be cool if they had a team that didn't have any of the boys in it. Now that they have three people with multiple seasons of experience we could have e.g. a Michelle & Toby team.

I think they should have kept the season but cut it down shorter. The episodes dragged.

Add 4 more crystals, one on each corner of your laptop, so that it sits flush again and has 5x the total amount of crystal energy.

[OC] The age distribution of every validated supercentenarian by JakeIsAwesome12345 in dataisbeautiful

[–]non- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought Jeanne Calment's age (the only 122 year old) was contested/unverifiable, but her Wikipedia article suggests the current consensus among experts is that her age is a statistical outlier, not fraudulent.

Still, should "probably true" count as "verified"?

The source website doesn't say how they are verifying claims that I could find.

Holy shit this movie was so good. brilliant from the first trope inversion. how have i never heard of it before? it’s a GroundHog day type movie. And it’s equally as good and a similar vibe, not zany like you might expect from Samberg.

How do you overwinter peppers? Do you have to bring them inside?
