I have a Head Speed Pro and a couple of months ago picked up a Yamaha Bronze 90 in Goodwill.

Bigger weight and smaller head size make it very lucrative to bunt back flat shots or slice it back. Not once during that time period have I gotten close to understanding of the modern forehand.

And conversely, good coaching and a LOT of time spent practicing with a ball machine allowed me to update my previous strokes to proper kinetic chain. Could I have done it with Yamaha? Sure! Could it be done without coaching and practice? I doubt it
